Seehotel Grüner Baum

Located in the car-free center of the World Heritage town of Hallstatt in Upper Austria’s Salzkammergut region, the 4-star superior Seehotel Grüner Baum offers spacious rooms with panoramic views of Lake Hallstatt. First mentioned in 1700, the fully renovated hotel offers a historic ambiance, which has already served as a backdrop to several movies. Empress Sisi, the Austrian author Adalbert Stifter, Agatha Christie and many other personalities have stayed at this hotel. Seehotel Grüner Baum faces the historic market square on one side, while the other side of the building opens up towards the lake and features a terrace. Every day, the restaurant Zum Salzbaron serves freshly caught fish from the lake. Parking is possible for a charge in the P1 parking area outside the town. From there, free shuttle bus to the hotel is available (9 a.m. to 7 p.m.). These spacious rooms include a tea maker and a Nespresso machine.
