The Howe cottage was built in 1876 and received several additions since then. This cozy 980 square ft Cottage is fully fenced in (inc. the front yard) that's perfect for dogs. A half mile walk to the corner of Broad St and Thomas St. Beautiful Crepe Myrtles in the front yard. Over flow parking available on S. Poplar St. A spacious living room with plenty of seating. Two TVs with basic cable / Roku streaming and 400mps wifi. Washer and Dryer in the kitchen. A very cozy space with lost of windows. The front porch was converted into a second bedroom. Two entrances. The front entrance has a flight of steps and the back entrance has a small deck with one step. A spacious kitchen connects to a hallway office. This is a one bathroom house. Lockbox on the back porch. Lockbox code will be provided the day of check in. We live locally and are happy to assist with anything when needed. A stones throw from Dudley Park, a 32- acre park nestled in the confluence of Trail Creek and the North Oconee River, just a short walk from downtown Athens and the University of Georgia. The park features majestic hardwoods, open fields, and picnic areas. Dudley Park serves as the junction of two major multi-use paved trail networks, the North Oconee Greenway and the Firefly Trail, for walking, jogging, or cycling. A half mile walk to downtown Athens and right on the city bus line. The cottage is about 60 feet from the closest bus stop. Parking next to the cottage can accommodate 2 vehicles. Overflow parking is available on S. Poplar St by the old church. We have a charcoal grill and a firepit on this property. We do NOT provide wood or charcoal. You can source both locally while you're in Athens. Please make sure you extinguish all fires before leaving the property or going to sleep for the night.
