Gather around the floor-to-ceiling gas stone fireplace after making dinner in the gourmet kitchen (complete with gas range stove, double sink, built-in grill/griddle, ample counter space, and 2 different coffee makers) and eating together at the dining table that boasts a front row view of the sunset. Throughout the home, you'll find large windows and skylights that offer plenty of natural light along with stunning views of the surrounding trees and mountain peaks. On cool mornings and lazy afternoons when you'd rather enjoy the view outside, walk onto one of the two incredible decks. The newest deck triples the size of the original, and it provides the perfect place to take in the sounds and sights of the Lake Burnett Reservoir, while the second provides a shaded area to read your morning paper over coffee, get your morning workout in, or gather with friends and family at the end of the day to enjoy a glass of wine and share stories. This home is an ideal vacation spot for two families or several couples, as both children and adults will find entertaining things to do in this home. Downstairs, you'll find a bunk bed that is part of the den area. From there, you'll find an auxiliary/mud room in front of the laundry area where you can store your shoes, hats, and coats, or use it as a yoga room or overflow game room. In the garage, you'll find a game room with a ping pong table, ladder ball, and a second refrigerator to store your snacks and drinks for taking breaks in between games. Premierly located within the private, gated community of Laurel Ridge, you're able to get away from it all while still being only 10 minutes from downtown Black Mountain and 25 minutes from downtown Asheville. Sky High at Laurel Ridge truly has everything you're looking for in a mountain retreat! House layout: Main floor: Living room with Smart TV for streaming and gas logs; half bath; kitchen with island and 3 stools; dining table seats 6-8; 2 decks off this floor; a bedroom with a king bed and TV for streaming and a full bathroom. Upstairs: there are two bedrooms that each have a queen bed and a full bath in the hallway (PLEASE NOTE: the central air has no vents for these 2 upper rooms.) ​​​​​​​Ground level: den with TV for streaming and a set of bunk beds; there is a full bath (shower only, no tub); game room with a ping pong table, ladder ball, and a 2nd refrigerator; laundry area and auxiliary/mud room in between the den and game room. Please note that while the garage is not available for parking, the driveway is easily accessible, and it provides space for up to 4 cars. Please note that the owner has an exterior webcam which is mounted on the 2nd-floor balcony to monitor the weather. Guest access All of our homes are private residences so you have access to the entire house unless otherwise noted in the description (the owner may not allow use of the garage, etc).
