The cottage is just 3/4 of a mile from the beautiful private sandy beach. The space A Shore Thing is located in the lovely Giants Neck Heights beach association. The cottage is a 3/4 mile walk to the beautiful sandy beach. Easy access beach parking is also available. Pet Policy: We welcome up to 2 small, low or non-shedding dogs. We strictly adhere to this policy so please note the breed and size of your furry friend when booking. Rocky Neck offers 7 miles of walking trails where you will find coastal woodlands and salt marshes. INDOOR LIVING: Bedroom: 1 Queen Bed in loft area master bedroom. Please note that the bedroom is accessible via a spiral staircase. Sleeping options for additional guests: Pull out sofa bed. Note: main bedroom is upstairs and bathroom is on the first floor. Living Room & Kitchen: Spacious living room with cathedral ceiling and skylight which opens to a bright and sunny kitchen and updated bathroom with double sinks and washer/dryer combination. The kitchen is well equipped with stainless steel appliances, pots and pans, coffee maker, microwave, dishware and flatware. Downstairs has a ductless system for heating and cooling, upstairs has a window AC unit. OUTDOOR LIVING: Hang out and relax on the sunny front deck. Gather around the fire pit or gather for a drink at the Tiki Bar in the back yard. The backyard also has an outdoor shower, table, umbrella and 2 chairs, a hammock and grill. The beach community offers a community playground with basketball and tennis court, playscape and bocce lanes. This is a great area to kayak & enjoy walks along the coastline.  There is also a boat launch. It is shallow at low tide, and skiffs will need to return by about mid-tide. Kayaks can get in at any low tide except around king tides. For anytime boat access there is 4 Mile River Boat Launch which is 3.3 miles away, or Niantic Bay Boat Launch which is 5.1 miles away. GENERAL: The cottage has a washer/dryer combination for use during your stay.
