A wide selection of DVD's and games available to play during your stay and specific games titles and consoles may be available if requested IN ADVANCE OF YOUR STAY! A/C and heat were recently upgraded so it works great and is very comfortable all year round. This room is closest to the bathroom. Renters may use all the facilities in the common areas of the house. The centerpiece of course is the Han Solo desk. The desktop is tempered glass, but please, be careful not to bang on it or dislodge the supports in any way. If you need it moved for any reason, call me immediately for help. Each FULL room has a keypad code to lock it up and keep things safe. Please note, there is also a Den which is simply a curtained off area left of the entrance and is another guest space as well as the living room couch. Please do not be startled by the presence of other guests in these areas. Room #3, the Star Wars room, is in the hallway to the RIGHT of the entrance. Please see the house map in the photos. The house is fairly close to Lackland AFB, but not TOO close if you understand. Please note, the PC has been removed as most people have been bringing their own laptops, but peripherals are still put out: Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor etc. If are booking ahead of time (not immediate check ins) you can request other game consoles and games. Please see the QR code in the photos for a complete list from the collection. As of late 2025, there will be LIMIT 1 console per room at a time! Hand-held games or very rare consoles / games might not be issued to short-term guests (based on host discretion) or may not even be available including but not limited to: PSP, Jaguar, Atari 2600, Vita, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast (out of order), Neo Geo, and Coleco Vision (Stolen). Consoles that cannot be secured may be ineligible. Electronics in the room may have tracking devices in them. Remember, you are responsible for keeping your room LOCKED when not at home. Using your own account is recommended. Do not buy games on other people's accounts or you will be asked to leave with no refund you will also be charged for the price of purchased games. Similar rules apply if games go missing during your stay. The games are not to be taken out of the house under any circumstances. Guests who lose a game will be charged the full retail CURRENT market value in NEW condition with overnight shipping and tax. Don't treat the discs like coasters. Any issues with the room or house should be immediately brought to the attention of the host so I can address your concerns during your stay instead of passing on problems to future guests. If I find out about something in a review or a phone call from AirBnB saying you canceled without telling me why, it is already too late and you will be NOT recommended. Though listed as 1 person, it can accommodate 2 people who are sharing the bed. Fresh and clean linens and towels are provided and I generally have spare bathroom essentials in case you forgot anything. Paying it forward for future guests is appreciated as well! please note all Linens and towels are washed in a scent free and clear detergent to accommodate guess who may have sensitive skin issues so smelling the bed sheets will not tell you how clean they are necessarily because there's no fake scents added in. some people can mistake the absence of odor for being dirty and it's becoming more common so this is why I'm putting it in the description and leaving extra sheets in the closet. There are the extra bed sheets that have never been used which are stored in the closet for emergencies. If for any reason you're dissatisfied with the bed sheets on the bed even though they should have been cleaned between every guest, too lumpy, too linty, etc just let me know so I can consider removing linens from rotation. No extra fee for using the backups. Please remember, cleaning common areas is a communal responsibility. Keep all bathroom items in your designated bin. This includes soap and razors. Please use the stickers for food stored in your area or in the pantry. Your room is #3 and there are PURPLE #3 stickers available that will help you designate your food so you don't accidentally get it mixed up with someone who may have bought the same thing recently. Community / FREE items are marked with orange / smiley face stickers. If other guests are not cleaning up after themselves or you feel anything needs special attention, please alert me immediately. UNMARKED FOOD IS NOT FREE. IT IS JUST UNMARKED! If you have food or items you think need extra protection, I do have some code locked plastic cases available. Please ask for one if you need it. There is an outlet next to the bed. Some people miss it, but it is there. Guest access Common areas in the house include the front bathroom, garage bathroom, hallways, kitchen, laundry area, and front yard. There is a 2nd fridge in the garage that guests may use as well. Please do not rummage through the street-side of the garage. It is off limits for now. Please help keep common areas clean. If there is excessive mess beyond your share, please let me know right away. To keep track of who's food and bathroom items are who's, we use a sticker system. 1-4 are the room numbers. Blue / paw stickers are for the living room with the fireplace. Red / Chinese stickers are for the Asian themed den. For shared or donated items, there are orange smiley stickers in the kitchen. Unlabeled food is not necessarily free. If you need extra security for your food let me know. When the den is rented out as overflow space though, it will be curtained off for their privacy. If you see bed sheets on the living room couch, that area is off-limits temporarily as well. You will be provided key codes to lock your room as soon as the room is available, all guests checked out, and the room has been reset. If you'd like to request specific games to play, please do so with advanced notice. The bathrooms are shared by co-hosts and guests. If the bathroom needs attention it is best to make me aware since I'm only in there to restock usually. Keep the hair-catchers in the sink and shower plugged in or use the "star" shaped hair catcher while showering. Its very important to sanitize these and put your own hairs in the trash and then return the plugs to the sink and shower when you're done, not only to catch particle before they go down the drain to help keep the pipes working good, but also to prevent anything in the pipes from crawling back up in to the house! The limit for number of guests is a hard limit set by City Ordinance. Hosting extra guests beyond the limit for your space is not just a violation of my policy, but moreover violation of local laws. Unauthorized guests beyond the set limit for your space could incur penalties of 2 times the booking price per extra guest per night. Just for comparison, hosting violations start at $500 per occurrence so this punitive contingency is in place to let you know the city takes this far more seriously than you think. During your stay I don't like drama so leave that behind you here and chillax. Outstanding warrants, potential security concerns, or being on a sex offender list are grounds for refusal. Guests will not be discriminated against based on religion or lack of it, race, gender, orientation, internet-sub-cultures, etc. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE: There is a buffer day added to the end of your stay automatically. If you need to extend, I can clear this manually so you don't have to move out for just 1 day, but this requires some coordination. The buffer day helps keep check out flexible and preserve your spot in case of emergencies should you need to book another night. Recent new rules: No wipes in the house! If a toilet clogs, do not attempt to clear it yourself with chemicals or plungers. Call the host! You are responsible for making sure any 2nd guest or the person REALLY staying here that you represent has read and agrees to all these rules regardless of how much you feel its necessary. Guests not knowing these rules in the past caused a lot of problems and you WILL be held responsible for their actions when reviewed. Food is labeled using stickers. Room #3's stickers are the purple / #3 stickers. Only food with an orange/smiley sticker is free / up for grabs. If you feel your food needs extra protection just ask for a combo lock bin. If you are on PROBATION, PAROLE, have a WARRANT or have a FELONY you must make the details known beforehand and get permission to rent the room. It is not an automatic dismissal but I need to know for the safety of the other guests the nature of your situation. Also, there is alcohol here and I have weapons in the house for self-defense which may violate terms of probation for some individuals. Absolutely NO marijuana or illegal drugs allowed in your car or on the premises. Leave that stuff elsewhere. What you do off the property is your own business though. CBD oil from hemp has been totally legalized in Texas and is okay to have! :) If you bring a child, let me know. My house is not entirely sound-proof or child-proof and I must know how many people are in the house in case of emergencies such as fire. The PRIVATE room is more suitable for renters with a child. If you have 2 adults in your group, children count as an extra guest exceeding the maximum capacity allowed by local ordinance. Air BnB's policy requires me to inform you that there is a security camera located outside the house pointed at the entrance and driveway area with a live feed to my phone for safety and accountability purposes. I am also placing one in view of the pantry. Just let me know if you have questions! Legal Notice Follows: This notice as well as other notices in each room are hereby required by Section 16-1108(f) of the San Antonio City Code: Respect quiet hours and noise restrictions as defined per Chapter 21, Article III of the Code 204 of San Antonio Ordinances. Use of the shed is restricted. Other outdoor facilities are for common use. 24-hour contact person: Mike Miller (Use the App) Property cleanliness requirements: Guests must clean-up food particles or biological hazards. Trash bins are located in front of parking spot 1 (see floor plan sheet in each room). The brown bin and green bin as needed must go to the curb near the fire hydrant Sunday night or early Monday morning. Brown bin is for any garbage. Green is just organics, compostables, and for some reason greasy cardboard like used pizza boxes. If you suspect something in there doesn't belong DON'T put it out or I'll get fined! The blue bin is for loose recyclable items must be free of any bagged items. All bags in the blue bin must be removed and the bag put in the brown bin instead. The blue bin must go to the curb near the fire hydrant every Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. No Styrofoam. Again, check it first for things that don't belong! Flooding hazards are HIGHLY unlikely due to hill-top location, but in the event of weather induced indoor flooding do NOT seek shelter in the attic. Find a buoyant device or vehicle immediately, higher ground, or go to the roof as a last resort. Evacuation routes are marked on the floor plan sheet in each room. In an emergency call 911! Parking spaces are marked on the floor plan sheet in each room. Do not park over the sidewalk! Use the curb-side parking if primary spaces and overflow cannot accommodate your vehicle's size. Notice that failure to conform to the occupancy and parking requirements is a 212 violation of the City Code and occupant or visitor can be cited.
