Cabin is partially OFF GRID in winter months (Nov 1-May 7) No running water/shower/indoor bathroom at this time. Water is provided with water dispenser/maintained outhouse Sauna & jacuzzi tub available yr round. Note: Wood hot tub replaced in 2025 with jacuzzi spa Cabin heated by wood stove in the winter months and supplemented with a mini split heater. Inspired by our love of travel, antiques, & cozy cabins. Wake up to the sound of the babbling creek & views of the trees out every window. Our cabin is situated in the country on a municipal maintained road. We sit on a heavily treed 1 acre lot in a residential area making you feel like you are in the forest but only a quick 5 minute drive to local amenities, restaurants, lcbo and grocery store. **Spring/Summer/Fall 2025 please be aware there may be some construction noise during your stay due to development in the immediate area.** Close by are many hiking and snowmobile trails, waterfalls, and farm to table restaurants. Our cabin comes equipped with a full kitchen including, stove top, convection oven, bbq, fridge, microwave, water cooler, coffee maker, kettle, pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. Outside you will find a sauna, seating area and fire pit. During the cooler months the cabin is heated by a wood stove and electric heat. We provide wood and kindling for all guests. In the summer there is air-conditioning to ensure your comfort. Please note that the cabin is Partially OFF GRID from mid oct-mid May (weather depending) and there will be no running water or plumbing. We have an outhouse that is cleaned between guest stays and will provide drinking water for your stay. During summer months the cabin runs on septic. The washroom is fully functional including shower, toilet and sink. A/C is available in the common area of the cabin. The cabin is located close to Varney Speedway. They operate occasionally during the summer months. The noise level is minimal and the trees do a good job of muffling the sound, but worth mentioning for those nights you're sitting out by the fire. Guest access Entire cabin is yours to make home during your stay. Other things to note There is a projector available to guests in the common space that projects Netflix/YouTube off the wall. You will find a smart tv in the downstairs bedroom. No photo shoots/ elopements/ events/ or outside guests allowed on the property without prior consent. Any guests that violate this policy will be charged an additional event fee. Event/ photo session fee starts at $450. Wood stove available only during the fall and winter months and unavailable for use during the late spring and summer months. No pets allowed without prior approval. We have an $80 pet fee that will be added to the reservation once accepted.
