The Vishuis Fisherman’s Cottage is a luxury, modernized heritage cottage. It is comfortable and has modern amenities and contemporary decor. The space The Vishuis is a renovated fisherman's cottage, which is one of the heritage buildings in Hermanus. It is in the heart of the old village just above The Old Harbor in the center of the town. However, it is has been refurbished with modern fittings and amenities. Guest access The more luxury Fisherman's cottage suite includes: queen sized bed with pure cotton bedding; modern en suite bathroom with hand loomed cotton towels and heated towel rail; guest toiletries; 2 flat screen TVs with DSTV; MORSO fireplace, with wood; fan; wall heater; hairdryer; A large open plan living room with comfortable seating; Dining room table and chairs; Modern Gourmet kitchen with gas stove, convection oven, microwave, dishwasher, espresso machine; Crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen utensils All guests have access to: the communal courtyard with table and chairs and large sun umbrella; Weber braai; Splash pool During your stay Guests will be met on arrival by Marc. He will welcome them to The Vishuis and show them to their room/s. He will ensure that they are happily ensconced in their suite/s, and understand how everything works. Marc does not stay on site, but is always available for any further assistance. He gives guests his cell phone number so that they can contact him. Guests are given a brochure with details of things to do and places to visit in Hermanus in order to maximize their stay. Other things to note Hermanus is a beautiful old fishing village and there is a lot to do. The Vishuis is situated in the heart of the village and within walking distance of many excellent restaurants, cafes and bars. It is also right in the middle of 3 big supermarkets. So there is no need to drive or find parking when going shopping. Hermanus is well known for its many art galleries, which are all within a stones throw of the guesthouse. The famous Cliff Path which stretches from the New Harbor to Grotto beach can be accessed about 250m from the guesthouse. Guests can also walk the many mountain pathways above Hermanus. Hermanus has beautiful mild weather and there are many outdoor activities available: surfing, canoeing, wind surfing, kite surfing, diving, sailing, fishing, crayfishing, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, paragliding, etc.. There are many incredible wine farms and markets in the region. Guests are given brochures detailing possibilities.
