The space Our renovated 318 sq. ft. casita-style studio features a wood-burning kiva fireplace, 10-foot ceilings with traditional viga beams, comfortable bed and beautiful kitchen space. It is adorned with turquoise accents and artwork from local and international artists. Wi-Fi and cable TV allow you to stay connected and enjoy a relaxing evening watching your favorite TV channels. Casita Turquoise is the culmination of a vision we began to develop in the mid-2010s as our careers took us to many special places in the world, including Taos. Casita Turquoise is an homage to our various peregrinations across the globe. The artistic maps above the bed are of cities in which we lived in the U.S., Canada and Haiti, and some of the elements of the décor, such as the bedside rugs, are handwoven products made by skilled artisans of Ethiopia, where our careers took us in 2017.
