We invite you to make our Rhode Island oasis your destination! Stay in a private, light and art-filled cottage on our 48-acre, 1750s working farm. Walk the trails, visit our goats and sheep and cook your meals with seasonal produce grown right here. Convenient to 95, 295, TF Green, 12 mins from Providence, close to colleges, universities and hospitals. The first kid under 10 stays free! This is a large, private, two floor cottage. The first floor is a large open concept space with a living area that includes a convertible sofa for overflow guests. There is also a full bath, full kitchen and laundry. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms (one queen and three doubles) and a full bath. Each bedroom is on an individual heating zone and there are lots of fans for summer stays (no AC). The private patio includes seating and a grill. Guests have access to their own SOLO fire pit (safe and easy to use!) and we provide the wood). We also have croquet, bocce and other outdoor games as well as a selection of indoor board games for all ages. Amenities: Linen sheets (possibly our favorite thing) Extra blankets and pillows Wireless internet Iron and ironing board Washer/dryer Coffee machine (and we provide some coffee, tea, sugar, honey) Fully equipped kitchen including microwave soap, bath salts, moisturizers and various travel items in bathrooms We have 48 acres of walking trails and there is access to a nearby bike path. This is a private stay (we live in the main farmhouse nearby) but we love our farm and its community and we've both lived in RI for a long time so we love serving as a resource for your visit. We are an oasis in the middle of a relatively developed suburb -our farm , now 48 acres , was once many hundreds of acres and our road was once named after the family that founded the farm in the mid 18th century. Depending on how you drive in, you might be confused by the plats you drive by! But once you get to us, you'd never know we are actually in the middle of a neighborhood! We are 3 minutes from 295, 4 minutes from 95 and less than 15 to Providence. One hour to Boston or take the nearby commuter rail), 45 minutes to Worcester. The airport is about 7 minutes. We are served by Uber and Lyft, Grubhub and various supermarket delivery services. Our farm is always a work-in-progress. You are as likely to see it at its best (perfect days and the goats aren't naughty) as at its worse (torrential rain and the sheep are covered in mud and burrs) but we like to think that you see us as we are: accidental, ever-learning farmers with heart. Most of all, we love to share this place with others-and that is why we love hosting so much. We welcome children and the first one under 10 stays free-but we DO want to know they are coming. To get your rate, enter only the number of guests over the child that stays free (must be under 10 at time of stay) -but do send us a message about the entire number of kids you'll be bringing so we can prepare accordingly.
