The space Experience the romance of yesteryear paired with the comforts of today, all while keeping watch of the Augusta Ferry and other watercraft traversing the beautifully broad Ohio River. Gorgeous, peaceful space, close to the action but perfect for rest and recharging. The views are stunning & literally stretch for miles. A private entrance invites you into your private entry area and your historic Guest quarters upstairs. Incredible River views abound from north facing front windows and from the east and west "gothic" windows. Make coffee and pancakes in the fully stocked kitchen. Enjoy Fiber Optic Internet and the convenience of the nearby shops and restaurants dotting Main Street. South Bank Station exudes the history and spirit of the quaint and quirky town of Augusta and offers everything you need for a peaceful and comforting stay. Guest access Feel free to use the stone firepit and two Adirondack chairs surrounding the firepit. Walk or bike to breakfast at a nearby restaurant, or to shop at many Main Street establishments. Guests may enjoy biking through town and along Riverside Drive as well as on "Long Stretch" for a refreshing scenic view of fields and wide-open spaces. A public boat landing directly in front of the property offers public boat docking space and a boat dock one block away offers additional public boat space (both docks are free). Watch Old Man River roll by while relaxing by the cozy firepit (starter supply of firewood and unmatched Ohio River views provided at no extra charge.) Other things to note Guests have a starter supply of k-cups, coffee mate individual creamers, sugar and stevia, a variety of tea bags, a few snacks, but should bring preferred coffee and any other food or other items desired. Guests will want to pick-up any needed supplies early in case our local grocery store is closed. Use of Washer & Dryer by long term Guests may be possible if arranged in advance with Host through Airbnb messaging. This is a non-smoking property, and due to allergies, pets are not allowed. Booking Guest must be 21 years old and must be present during stay. Booking Guest is responsible for self and other Guest. A law office with separate entry is located on the first floor of South Bank Station and has intermittent use.
