This little A-frame is a mid century dream nestled among the trees in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania and is within a few minutes walk to the lake. A highlight of the cabin is the upstairs bathroom, featured in Condé Nast, Houzz and West Elm, it's a Pinterest dream come true. There’s nothing quite like an A-frame and the instant we stepped foot on this houses original shag carpet we knew she was special, make sure to follow us on Social Media @cabinvibes Though we bought the house with the intention of renting we found it hard to part with, and after 2 years of planning and renovations we’ve finally taken the plunge. We’ve put a lot of time and effort into making this cabin truly special and we love nothing more, than sitting quietly on the deck watching the leaves turn or building a fire on a slow winter evening. We have a full chefs kitchen, with hardwood teak counter tops and a double farmhouse sink along with dishwasher and Nespresso machine. We have dining table for 6 people. (A fold away outdoor dining table can also be utilized if wanting to eat outside) The master suite is located at the back of the Cabin, with a private entrance onto the back porch, it also has its own staircase to the bathroom with a view. Upstairs we have our second bedroom with queen bed and 4 skylights overlooking trees. Downstairs we have an additional 3rd bedroom with a queen bed. Just note when the house is at max capacity (6 people) the 3rd bedroom will be walkthrough and those in the master suite will need to use the private entrance. The community offers some great amenities, from the 2 lakes and 2 pools, tennis, vollyball, mini golf and we even have our own tiny ski hill and lift! There is an Art center where you can paint pottery and do array of different crafts, a gym (located in the north section) there is sauna in the changing rooms which AMAZING! basketball courts and a golf course. Another quick note, because this is a vacation and lake community you will have neighboring cabins, it’s still a private and large secluded lot, but if you are looking for something in the middle of nowhere without any neighboring cabins this is something to keep in mind. There are two super cute towns, Hawley and Honesdale around 25 mins away from the cabin, which boast many coffee shops, Antique stores, restaurants, Railroad museums (great for children) these will be listed in our handbook. We also have outdoor seating on the front and wrap around benches on a larger back deck with a fire pit, perfect for late night ghost stories. Included: High speed internet, 140 channels, Netflix, Hulu and Amazon prime. Guests will be given passes to use the nearby beach and pools and other amenities. The lake is a few minutes walk from the house. Perfect for an evening stroll to watch the sunset. We will not be on site, but we are only a phone call away if you run into any issues or have questions. We do have another property in the community so sometimes we are close by and were always happy too help! Located in The Hideout. You are within (true) 5 min walk from the lake, pool , tennis, clubhouse and winter sports complex. You will be given membership passes by the community upon arrival. All guests will be registered with community and guests must check in with the Hideout upon arrival where you will get individual amenities badges and car passes (the community is gated) A renters form will be emailed to you to fill out prior to your trip this is necessary to gain entry to the community. Pools are outside and m only open in the summer months. Lake and beach areas are open year round. There is Nest camera located at the front of the cabin, as a safety precaution. We only check the camera to see if there is a car in the driveway to confirm a guests has arrived or departed. We actively respect your privacy during your trip.
