Guests love this park-view, double-room suite with in-room sink for a peaceful hiatus from the exciting activities that are just a 3 blocks walk to the Old Town Square from this historical property. A lucky, quiet option but ONLY for quiet guests (as hostess does transformation sessions on the main floor). ...a private unique retreat with an intriguing esoteric-art decor and a great vibe. Easy, free parking (usually right in front). Profile must be completed. The space THE SUN SUITE Relax in the fresh and charming Sun Suite, a double sized space featuring a shabby chic decor, a queen-sized "cloud" bed and a table with antique sitting chairs. No need to cross the hall, with a sink like the old days right in the room and an antique full length triple mirror. You'll also find a small fridge stocked with refreshing drinks for a good price that you can sip on while you peek at the happenings at the museum park across the street (the saxophone player from the band 70's band Shanana plays some Sundays). NOTE: This room has a window fan for cool summer sleeping (but no A/C it is only in the Universe Suite). Window fans cool well for evening here but "daytime" comfort for a consecutive stay in this room may not be reliable during the months of June-Aug. Guest access At your arrival, you can find your way inside using the door code for your stay at the Museum Park landing entrance. This entrance is on the North side of the house across from the park, totally separate and opposite side of the house from the main entrance. You'll want to head up stairs and get settled. Upon booking you'll get a greeting from your hostess explaining that you will receive more details including the door code for your stay and great local suggestions for planning your trip. Other things to note The Olive House is located on the corner of Peterson and Olive streets, just across from the Old Town Library Park. Often you'll find parking right in front. MUST add PET to reservation for cleaning pet-hair fee $40; only pets with absolutely no potty problems (or crate), that can go up/down exterior metal steps, and must stay with owner, not left in the room (where to scratch, cry or bark) as hostess meets with clients for sessions on the main floor. Contact hostess for help with your pet if you need it. No AC in this suite, which could matter June-August for daytime use. Window fan provides adequate cooling at night.
