Dating back to 1625, the building is filled with original period features. Individually designed rooms with attached bathroom include Smart TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. Some rooms also feature spa baths and lounges areas. Thackray House serves a full cooked breakfast daily. Dining at Thackray House is a relaxed yet refined experience, guided by the seasons and inspired by the finest local Scottish produce. From the welcoming comfort of the Lounge Menu, where classic favorites are served throughout the day, to the timeless ritual of Afternoon Tea, each setting within the house lounge areas offers its own distinctive character and charm. Dinner is served in the Strawberry Fields Bistro, where freshly grown produce from our very own walled garden brings each dish to life, celebrating the best of the season with simple, elegant flavors. If you are looking for some activity there is so much to do on the doorstep, be that walking, hill climbing, canoeing, horse riding, cycling, fishing or playing golf. The picturesque local golf course at Callander is a short walk away from the hotel and horse-riding stables a mere ten minute drive. Fishing can be organized on our own stretch of the River Teith or on other local rivers. Glasgow and Edinburgh are around 1 hour’s drive away. This large, contemporary style room features an Italian marble bathroom with spa bath and shower over, underfloor heating and luxury toiletries. With 1 king-size or 2 single beds, it includes include an LCD satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities, bathrobes and a hairdryer.
