Enjoy a private dock on Lake Chickamauga with a private-entry, attached, studio apartment/efficiency featuring its own kitchenette and bathroom, with dedicated driveway for truck & boat trailer. Tuft & Needle mattresses. Perfect for the fishing fanatic OR those who enjoy water and the outdoors OR a romantic getaway. It is a short drive to great rock climbing at Pocket Wilderness, Hell's Kitchen, or Dogwood Boulders. Lake Chickamauga is seasonal; boats can use the dock mid April - October. The space The studio apartment is attached to our primary residence and you will be the only guests on the property; this 'mother-in-law' suite has a dedicated exterior entrance and is separated from the primary residence by an interior door that locks from the guests' side. Both mattress are Tuft & Needle: a queen size mattress is standard with the room; if you would like to use the pull-out twin size mattress please book for 3 for an additional charge of $10/night. The covered dock is a great place to relax and fish. Power is available on the dock to charge boat batteries. Some guests enjoy spending the whole day grilling, fishing, swimming, and boating on the dock. Just off of your private apartment entrance is a very large covered deck, comfy patio furniture, and a large infrared grill ready for you to cook your day’s catch. The spacious backyard features a fire pit and plenty of places for you to hang a hammock. There is over 200' of lake frontage for fishing from shore. The kitchen includes a K-Cup coffee maker (we provide daily coffee & creamer), microwave, toaster, and refrigerator/freezer with an ice maker. The grill on the porch includes a side burner and can fill most of your oven and stove top needs. Guest access The attached apartment is outfitted like a premium hotel suite: kitchenette, personal dining area, and private bathroom with a tub/shower. Other things to note Lake Chickamauga is a seasonal body of water with water depth controlled by TVA. Mid to late October is historically the end of the season to tie up to our dock, but local ramps still allow you to launch into deeper water. An elevation of 679 is the lowest water level that allows access to the dock. The TVA publishes ‘Lake-Levels’ for Chickamauga online. You’ll be about a eight minute drive to the central Dayton public dock or about a 10 minute boat ride to the same area, where fishing competition registration is typically held.
