The Hillside Cottage is a luxury cabin with views of the Mettawee River. Located on 26 acres on a back road, it is peaceful & private. Enjoy fishing, swimming, kayaking or relax on the deck. This riverside retreat includes a king bed, jacuzzi tub & a kitchenette. Sitting around the fire pit with dinner cooked on the grill is the perfect ending to a long hike. Whether it’s a quick get-away or an extended vacation, the Hillside Cottage is a simple solution from a complicated life. *UPDATED WIFI* *FAST WIFI SPEEDS NOW AVAILABLE** We provide a propane BBQ right on the deck (propane included). There are also pots, pans, hot plate, toaster oven & a skillet to use. There is a large lawn area with a firepit (wood included). We provide camp chairs, outdoor blankets and extra towels that make spending the day by the river super easy. Kayaks are available for guest use. There is also a garden, feel free to pick whatever you need for meals while at the Mettawee Retreat, or take some home, enjoy! The Hillside Cottage is pet friendly. Dog beds are available upon request. The sofa pulls out into a queen bed that comfortably fits 2 adults. There is a short 150 foot walk from the parking area to the cottage . Guests should be prepared to walk down a short flight of stone steps to access the cottage. If you are celebrating a special occasion, please let us know.
