Serene farmhouse with 14 acres of nature with pond view from your room. Super comfortable tempurpedic queen bed. First floor suite off main house with private entrance and deck with seating. Private attached his and hers bathroom. In room basic kitchenette (mini frig, microwave, keurig). Ideal for those seeking comfort, safety & nature, but 9 miles to Burlington and 5 mins to shops & restaurants. We are in a part of Essex that is rural (the village, Essex Junction is more of a city.) The space A simple, comfortable sanctuary space in super safe area, nestled in nature with lots of wildlife, yet close to Burlington (9 miles) and 5 mins to amenities like grocery and restaurants in Essex town. There is a beautiful reservoir (Indian Brook) a few miles from the house off of our road that is great for swimming, boating, hiking and is accessible to most. Ideal location for many of the ski mountains, about an hour from Stowe, Smuggs, Sugarbush and Jay Peak (Jay is about 1.5hrs, great back country skiing and usually the most snow). Cross country skiing from the property or rental trails within 20 minutes. We are a quiet, professional home, for those seeking privacy and your own space set off from the rest of the house. We are nature lovers and committed to using natural products and practicing some permaculture practices on our property. We love Vermont so much, and find great joy in preserving a bit of its history with this home, and sharing an experience of this special state with you.
