Lake Atalanta "Treetop" Carriage House

Welcome to the Lake Atalanta "treetop" Carriage House! Walking distance to beautiful Lake Atalanta park and a mile to downtown Rogers. Large second story deck with panoramic views of Lake Atalanta. Windows and skylights throughout. Only 15 minutes from Downtown Bentonville and Walmart HQ. Near Oz Trails, Rail Yard, Slaughter Pen, Fayetteville, Eureka Springs, Beaver Lake, Bella Vista, White River, University of Arkansas, Back 40 Trail. The space The first floor has cement floors, ping pong table, air hockey, fitness equipment, a half bath and a brand new large capacity (August 2020) washer/dryer. The second flood has two small bedrooms, full bath/shower, living area, dining area and small kitchen. Kitchen appliances include: counter top oven/toaster, microwave, electric skillet, coffee maker, dishes and utensils. The 1st bedroom has a king size bed, dresser and desk space. The 2nd room has a dresser, double bed and bunk beds with small twin mattresses. The living area also has a small couch that can fold into a futon-like bed. The guest house is next door to our main residence (family of five)--detached and private, but still close by. Guest access Full house and garage access with parking for two vehicles. Our primary residence (family of five) is just next door but disconnected from the guest house. We are happy to offer as much privacy as you want, but will also be available if you have questions or want to borrow our two small kayaks, canoe or fishing equipment. Note that the hillside between our house and the lake is fairly steep and covered in trees/brush. We walk or ride bikes to the lake throughout the week, but you will need a truck or luggage rack to transport the kayaks and canoe (if interested). Also, Lake Atalanta is a beautiful 30 acre recreational lake--great for non-motorized boating, fishing, biking and hiking. However, there is no swim beach, nor swimming (to my knowledge) so please bear that in mind if you're looking to spend time in the water during your stay. Guests enjoy lounging and watching sunsets on the "treetop" deck or 1st story back porch. In addition to the indoor countertop appliances, you are welcome to use our new gas Weber Spirit II grill for outdoor grilling. Also, there is a tall gas patio heater next to the outdoor sitting area. You are also welcome to enjoy the small outdoor sitting area closest to the lake (past the trampoline). This is pictured in one of the photos. (note: the spring & fall replaces much of our lake views with thick green foliage!) Whether you are in town for business travel, the biking trails, a sports event, Crystal Bridges & The Momentary in Bentonville, or a day trip to Eureka Springs, Branson or a State park, we hope our guest house will give you all the access you seek, with at least a few comforts of home. Other things to note The abundance of windows, glass sliding doors and skylights were designed to invite plenty of natural light and unobstructed views of the lake and trees. Consequently, light comes when the sun comes up so please keep that in mind if you have ambitions of sleeping in!
