Family Ski Cabin-Packwood (WiFi, EV)

Quiet, family-friendly cabin in a wonderful neighborhood retreat area. Abundant outdoor activities nearby including Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainier National Park, and White Pass Ski Resort. Short walk to public river access, forest lands, trails, and waterfalls. Safe for kids and small dogs, high-speed internet, and more. - 25 min to Mt. Rainier National Park entrance (seasonal, May–Oct) - 30 min to White Pass Ski Resort - 10 min to downtown Packwood The space **The Cabin Sleeping Arrangement** The cabin is best sized for 6 people. (2 queen in separate rooms and 2 full/double beds in a loft area) ** High-Speed Internet** There is high-speed cable internet. Speeds are usually 115MB down and 15MB up. Perfect for many people on zoom or FaceTime. We have tested and used it extensively for ourselves as well as a family with school, etc **Indoor Area** The main living area of the cabin has a propane fireplace/stove that can be used at your leisure. The TV is a smart TV with Netflix, Disney Plus, and YoutubeTV included for guests, board games, a deck of cards, etc. The kitchen comes with an oven with stovetop, microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker, refrigerator, utensils, dishes, and various other items needed for cooking. Please use any items you find in the kitchen, they are for your convenience. We have two portable AC units. One is placed in the living room area, and the other one is upstairs. Currently no AC units in the downstairs bedrooms. **Pets & Pet Supplies** Small dogs (less than 50lbs, maximum of 2 dogs) are welcome with a non-refundable additional fee of $35 per pet. We are NOT able to accept other types of animals unfortunately. The fees will be requested from you during your reservation request. One pet fee will come through as an automatic charge and we will bill for a 2nd one after using AirBnb. The entire property is gated/fenced and should be dog-friendly. (Please double-check of course upon arrival) In the bedroom closet are a wire dog kennel and dog bed. There is also a bag dispenser should you just need extra baggies for your dog walk or for picking up for them in the back yard. As a reminder, please do not use bath towels for cleaning or for dogs. There are large towels on the shoe rack provided for that purpose. Also please keep the dogs off the couch and the beds. **Small Children** We have a portable high chair and Pack N Play. Also, we have children-friendly plastic plates and utensils sets. Most of the living area is carpeted so it will be comfortable for your little one's feet. Please be aware that we currently don't have a safety gate installed for the stairs. **Cleaning Supplies** Cleaning supplies are located in the hallway cabinets should you need them. If you need to know if a specific item is supplied please do not hesitate to ask. **Bathroom** The bathroom has a full bathroom/tub/shower with a shower handle/hose. There is also a full washer & dryer, sink, and toilet. There are a few toiletries provided should you forget any of your own. **Ample Parking, and EV Parking** There is a 240V 30AMP EV charge outlet at the front of the home. (Please bring your own cable and adapter. It is a three prong S80-SP plug. **Outdoor Area** The massive front deck wraps also along the side of the home and has ample seating. Feel free to move the furniture between the areas on the porch and the campfire. The 100% covered front & side porch is amazing for lounging rain or shine. The porch is covered and optionally 'gated' as well making it an excellent area to relax without having to worry about managing your pets. Please feel free to use the propane gas BBQ grill outside as well. The fire pit in the backyard is available for your use but you are responsible for providing the wood. Depending on the fire season you may not be able to use it if there are fire danger warnings. Matches and BBQ lighters are located in the cabinet located in the living area inside. Guest access The entire house. Depending on the request and the length of the stay, we could make one or both of the sheds outside available for storage/use as well. Other things to note **Security Cameras** We have a security camera mounted to the front door of the home for monitoring security/packages, arrivals/departures, cleaning crews, etc. We also have a security camera mounted to the shed pointing at the parking area. As a result, you may be recorded as you come and go. If you're uncomfortable with this, please get in touch before your booking so that we can make an alternative arrangement! (you can also temporarily cover the front door camera during your stay if you like). **RV** There is RV Space with hookups (Water, Sewer & 30 amp electric) available for use during your stay for an additional fee on the property. This must be requested and a $50 RV fee paid 24 hours previous to your arrival. **Contact Information** Our contact information is provided in our cabin welcome book within the cabin and on your welcome letter which will be messaged to you before your arrival. **Firewood** We provide limited firewood (when available). If you wish to burn a campfire and there is no wood on-site, you can purchase bundles of wood at Blanton's Supermarket or many other locations in town. You will need to follow the Lewis County Fire Restrictions when it comes to campfires. **Propane Tank** A regular 5-gallon propane tank and backup should be available for the outdoor BBQ grill, if both are empty for some abnormal reason, you may refill it at the Chevron or Mobile Station for about $2.50/gallon. **High Valley Country Club Golf & Swimming Pool** Our guests have the option to use the High Valley Country Club's outdoor pool or golf course. You must contact us 72 hours before wanting to use these facilities for permissions to be granted for you as our guest, no late requests can be honored. The fees that will be paid directly to the country club are $5-10/guest per day for the pool and $10-20/guest per day for the golf course. (nominal fees for administrative overhead by the caregivers) ** Occasional Power Outages** Power outages and internet outages can happen from time to time in this mountain area with inclement weather and tree falls, so please come prepared if they were to happen during your stay. When they happen they usually last about 4 hours. The utility company is responsive in this area. But overall, this is out of our control. In case of a power outage, there is a flashlight and batteries located in the cabinet to the left of the bathroom. You can use a cast iron pan on the propane grill outside if cooking is required. There is also a propane fireplace in the living room that could be used to warm up soups and such. **In Summary** Thank you for choosing to stay with us!
