The space The house and property borders the Blue Ridge Parkway just outside city limits with access to the Mountains-to-Sea Trail and a 7-8 minute Uber/Lyft ride to downtown, The Biltmore Estate, shopping and Whole Foods Market. The spring-fed pond and the connected creek provide a calm outdoor setting, perfect for morning relaxation or an evening beverage, especially after a day of hiking or other outdoor activities or after exploring Asheville and the surrounding areas. Also, perfect for watching the local wildlife, including bears, deer, water birds, fish and frogs. There is nothing like it in Asheville. This one level home with 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms features an open floor plan with a central mid-century gas fireplace. Original to this mountain home are the preserved redwood siding and horizontal rock work and large awning windows, which include many of the original windows and "old fashioned" screens. The master suite has a king bed and its own bathroom with a soaker tub and walk-in shower. One of the other two bedrooms also has a king bed and the 3rd bedroom has a queen bed, both with their own off-suite bathrooms. The modern kitchen features quartz countertops, cherry cabinets and all the supplies to cook meals or serve up your takeout from one of Asheville’s amazing restaurants. Getting Around: Location: • Off of 74A East less than 0.2 miles off Blue Ridge Parkway • Tucked away in the woods (our friends all comment on how quiet it is here) • Private setting, but minutes from everything • 5.8 miles from downtown • Uber and Lyft readily available (about a $10, 15-minute ride has been reported by guests) The property is about 5 miles from the Biltmore Estate, 25 minutes from the airport, 5-7 minutes from downtown, 2 minutes from I-40 and I-240 to get anywhere easily, a 2 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway near the Visitors' Center and 5 minutes from Shoji Spa overlooking the Parkway. Asheville has the best weather, music, breweries, wine shops, restaurants, art studios, festivals, outdoor events and wildlife. Everything is here! We love it!
