Welcome to DC! Streamline your stay in the nation's capital by staying in our spacious, newly-renovated 6 br, 4.5 bath home. The scale of the home is a rare find in Northeast D.C., which provides you with access to all of the downtown sites while maintaining the quiet feel of a family neighborhood with space to relax. There are 5 bedrooms in the main home and guests also have access to the one bedroom, bathroom and full kitchen in the garden apartment. The space The home was fully renovated in 2018 and has both an open modern feel and traditional craftsman-style interior touches to match the dutch colonial facade. From quirky wallpaper in the bathroom to beautifully repurposed stained glass windows throughout, the house was thoughtfully designed with spaces that nurture life and joy. Enjoy an open floor plan on the main floor with ample room to spread out while being together. Guests can gather around the large kitchen island, sipping their beverages chilled to ideal temp in the wine fridge, while the chef cooks over the deluxe gas range. Help yourself to basics in the walk-in pantry. This is our full time home and we leave it stocked for your ease. There's a water closet/half bath between the kitchen and the office nook -- everything you need to live on a single floor during the day. This is our full time home and you will find many toys for your children to keep them busy. Our backyard is fully fenced in and shaded by a giant oak next door, so your kids can play safely in the shade while you relax on the back deck. We can offer a pack and play, high chair, or changing table upon request. We want our guests to have all that they need and we keep the pantry and kitchen accessories as we would have them in our daily lives. There's no running out to the store for salt and olive oil. The second floor has four bedrooms (2 queens, set of bunk beds, 1 crib ) and two full baths. Head up to the sun-drenched third floor loft for the kids with 4 twin beds. It also doubles as a dreamy play space for kids on rainy days. Each bedroom has black out shades and a hanging rack for clothing. Head downstairs via an internal staircase, to the garden apartment with its own kitchen and living area and a private bedroom with a queen-sized bed. Perfect for grandparents! We have an off-street parking pad back by the garage for your vehicle although most guests find street parking easily as the street is not metered or zoned. Note 1: TV is located in basement apartment which you can use. We do not have cable. Guests have roku access which includes, netflix, disney plus and amazon. Guests are encouraged to bring their own devices and log onto our FiOS wifi. Or build a fire and pull out some board games! Guest access The entire house and garden are accessible for guests.
