Welcome to DC! Streamline your stay in the nation's capital by staying in our spacious, newly-renovated 5 br, 3.5 bath home. We are close to downtown, but have the convenience of easy parking and plenty of space. We are steps away from a bus line with service to all the action or 1 mile to the Brookland metro. The scale of the home is a rare find in Northeast D.C., which provides you with access to all of the downtown sites while maintaining the quiet feel of a family neighborhood. The space The home was fully renovated in 2018 and has both an open modern feel and traditional craftsman-style interior touches to match the dutch colonial facade. From quirky wallpaper in the bathroom to beautifully repurposed stained glass windows throughout, the house was thoughtfully designed with spaces that nurture life and joy. Enjoy an open floor plan on the main floor with ample room to spread out while being together. Guests can gather around the large kitchen island, sipping their beverages chilled to ideal temp in the wine fridge, while the chef cooks over the deluxe gas range. Help yourself to basics in the walk-in pantry. This is our full time home and we leave it stocked for your ease. There's a water closet/half bath between the kitchen and the office nook -- everything you need to live on a single floor during the day. This is our full time home and you will find many toys for your children to keep them busy. Our backyard is fully fenced in and shaded by a giant oak next door, so your kids can play safely in the shade while you relax on the back deck. We can offer a pack and play, high chair, or changing table upon request. We want our guests to have all that they need and we keep the pantry and kitchen accessories as we would have them in our daily lives. There's no running out to the store for salt and olive oil. The second floor has four bedrooms (1 queen, 1 king , a set of bunk beds ( picture coming soon) and a crib ) plus two full baths. Head up to the sun-drenched third floor loft with 4 twin beds and room to sleep extras. It also doubles as a dreamy play space for kids on rainy days with 2 indoor swings, climbing equipment and just space. The third floor also has a full bath. Each bedroom has black out shades and a hanging rack for clothing. We have an off-street parking pad back by the garage for your vehicle although most guests find street parking easily as the street is not metered or zoned. Note: we do not have a TV. Guests are encouraged to bring their own devices and log onto our FiOS wifi. Or build a fire and pull out some board games! Guest access The entire house and garden are accessible for guests. We have a tenant who lives in the fully separate basement unit. She is a beloved babysitter and friend. You may see her come and go, but the units are separate.
