Cozy Beach cottage, close to the beach

We invite you and your family to stay in our cozy beach cottage built by our family. Located sound side of the main road at mile post 6 in Kill Devil Hills, just minutes away from North Carolina's beautiful wide beaches. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, one inside and one enclosed spacious outdoor bathroom, perfect for getting the sand and salt off from the beach Comfortable, clean and great for making new family memories. The space It’s 4 blocks from the beach, a short walk to the Front Door Coffee Shop, and close proximity to restaurants, grocery stores, Awful Arthur's famous seafood restaurant and raw bar. There are many outside activities to explore: shell collecting on the beach, climbing Jockey's Ridge, hiking Nags Head Woods Preserve, biking along the sound on wide paved bike paths, sitting on the beach watching the sun rise on the ocean and set on the sound, checking out the Wright Brothers Memorial, fishing on the Avalon Fishing Pier, clilmbing the historic lighthouses, taking a tour to see the Corolla wild horses, visiting Hatteras Island, and exploring the Elizabethan Gardens. The list is endless. The space can sleep 7 comfortably, with a queen, 2 double beds a twin and 2 bunkbeds. Wifi is available throughout the house. The living room has a 44 inch flat screen WiFi TV set up for streaming, and DVD player, bring your own Roko or Firestick. A kitchen fully stocked with silverware, dishes, cups, Kerig coffee maker, microwave, oven, fridge, and blender, for any of your cooking needs.  Two decks, one at the front and one at the side of the house. The front deck is covered by a beautiful shade tree, the side deck is exposed for sunning. Outside chairs are provided for relaxing on the deck. Charcoal Grill provided.  Our guests favorite place to shower is in our enclosed spacious outdoor bathroom, perfect for getting the sand and salt off from the beach One story, with only one step to climb, easy access for those who may have difficulty with steps Parking on site for up to 3 vehicles. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home, including all listed amenities in the descriptions. The shed in back is locked for family use. This is our home away from home and as such, we have many items you may need in the spice cabinet and refrigerator. You are welcome to use these, however if you use the last of something, please replace it. Other things to note We do not provide linens for the beds, towels, or beach towels. This allows us to keep the rental fee lower, giving you more money to spend on your vacation, not just your place to stay. The cottage has central air and heat, perfect for the summer or the cooler fall days. We do provide a several paper towel rolls and a roll of toilet paper in each rest room to get you started. Additional paper products will need to be brought or purchased at a nearby store. There is no dishwasher or garbage disposal. Cleaning the Cottage I want to make your stay at Cocky's Roost a pleasant and safe experience. For that reason, I follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights: I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and I wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination I clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists I provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay I comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines
