Located on the Bruce Trail, your perfect Bruce Peninsula escape. The space BEDROOMS: 6 bedrooms (4 Queen Beds, 2 King bed) Each bed is donned with luxurious duvets and covers. Included: Comforters, down filled pillows, sheets, pillowcases and towels. KITCHEN We have a fully equipped kitchen, with all appliances available to use, including fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave and oven. Plus, take advantage of the UV filtered drinking water, toaster, blender, drip coffee maker, espresso machine and ice maker. Included: Paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, salt/pepper, some spices, saran wrap and tinfoil. Dining area offers a gorgeously crafted table with seating for 12. BATHROOMS Enjoy 3 - 3pc bathrooms with showers and tubs as well as 2-2pc. Included: Toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and hairdryer in 3pc baths. LAUNDRY New units. Included: laundry soap BACKYARD The back of the cottage includes a deck with a sun awning, a fully furnished covered patio, and outdoor shower, gas BBQ (direct to cottage, no tank needed), and a shore deck with a firepit (wood provided) and plenty of outdoor seating. ENTERTAINMENT For your outdoor fun, swim right out front from the shore for unforgettable scenic views. There are plenty of indoor games and books to keep you occupied. EXCURSIONS North Bruce Peninsula is a dream for fishing and boating enthusiasts, outdoor adventurers and photographers, and is the perfect homebase for day trips into Lion's Head and Tobermory. The cottage is located on the Bruce Trail close to scenic caves, only 2 min. to public boat launch, 20 min. drive to Wiarton Golf Club (9 holes). FISHING Fish off the boat launch dock (a 5 min walk) for smallmouth bass or visit between the last week of July to the first week of August for the Chantry Chinook Classic Salmon Derby on the bay. The weigh station is in Wiarton at the boat launch area. The Rush Cove Fishing Derby takes place during the third week of August and is a great way to meet people and catch some salmon. The weigh station is at the boat launch 2 min. away. Policy Length of stay varies depending on demand. Must be 25 to make a reservation. All guests must be at least 25 years of age on long weekends (if booking as individuals/couples). Maximum capacity: 12 adults Please ensure you enter the correct guest count as there may be additional fees per person/persons. Guest access Access is to complete home but excludes garage and barn. Contactless check-in. Other things to note Occupancy: 12 People Maximum The cottage is well equipped for family gatherings. The main floor has 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms as well as an open dining / living room over looking a wall of windows to the water. From the Dining and sunroom you can access the main wood deck that has seating areas throughout. Step off the deck onto a 600 sq foot stone patio deck chairs, umbrellas and a firepit area and expansive views of the Georgian Bay. The second floor of cottage has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Amenities: Gas Grill, Charcoal Grill, 2 refrigerators, Fire Pit Fire pit - please review current open fire rules on the peninsula as they change throughout the season. There are 2 gas Fireplaces inside the home one in the sunroom and one in the living room. Important Notes: (1) You'll want to bring your water shoes as the bottom of the Bay is flat rock and can be slippery. The Bay can be fairly cold but warms up mid July. We also suggest hiking boots and a walking stick if you're planning on doing any of the more advanced trails such as Halfway Log Dump. (2) The Michael resides on a 'No Winter Access' road, meaning from Oct 15 to Easter Weekend every year the road is not municipally maintained and is the responsibility of the local Rush Cove community to upkeep. Although we do have an enclosed 'Side By Side' ATV to help shuttle guests from the Rush Cove parking area, a Four Wheel Drive vehicle during inclement winter specifically from late November until mid-March is highly recommended.
