Gather with friends and family or enjoy a work from home getaway in this mid century gem, located in the lovely hamlet of Balmville. This section of the Hudson River Valley is known for its well-maintained historic homes, river views, and vibrant culture. Enjoy dinner and cocktails in the city of Newburgh just 1.5 miles away, or cross the bridge to Beacon (just 5 miles away) and enjoy all Main Street has to offer. Hike Mount Beacon, Breakneck Ridge, and more. This home is drenched in natural light, making it a lovely place during all four seasons. Fast internet and two desks make it ideal for a work from home retreat. The screened-off patio and backyard offer privacy for outdoor relaxing. Guests will be given a key code to let themselves in. If you need anything during your stay, just let us know! We work together as a team to ensure guests have a trouble-free experience. The hamlet of Balmville is decorated with Victorian homes and has a rich history. The city of Newburgh is known for its vibrant culture, and there are more historic buildings here than anywhere else in New York outside of the city. Beacon, just across the Hudson, is filled with wonderful restaurants and shops. People from NYC often take the train straight to Beacon and stroll main street for the day. The area is filled with hiking trails and other outdoor activities. West Point Academy is 15 miles from our property. Having a car will make your trip easier, but it isn't required. You can take the train from the City to Beacon, and the property is just a ten minute Uber drive from there. If you enjoy walking, you can walk the Hamilton Fish Newburgh-Beacon bridge. This way you get in your steps while enjoying amazing views of the Hudson. There is also a commuter ferry that runs between Newburgh and Beacon during the week. It is extremely affordable, but be sure to check the schedule. Pet fee: $100 per pet. Our house is newly renovated, and we put great care into our choices. Please respect the house by noting the following: -Guests must agree to wipe down kitchen countertops immediately after use as they are very porous and will stain. -Please take out the trash after your stay. We have trash cans at the front of the house. -Before you leave, please put things back where you found them. -Please do not move furniture. -Please make sure to lock all doors and close all windows before you leave the house. -We enforce a strict no smoking and no pet policy. There is a $200 fine for breaking these house rules. -No parties.
