Tranquil Maine-Stay in 2nd fl barn studio in quiet village of Morgan Bay. Guests say "even better than photos!" Expect a look into authentic life on the coast of Maine with 10th generation Mainer. After travels to Acadia walk to bay, 7 minutes to LOBSTER SHACK & beach. Full bed; potty on second for midnight, Compost toilet on 1st fl, and Outdoor hot shower - shared , bottled drinking/wash water. Sm refrig, hotplate, elec kettle. Fire pit. Arrive before dark. Simple rustic charm. The space Private, Charming and Rustic - Sleep two comfortably in new rustic pine paneled studio. Sweet living area with views of garden. Table with chairs. Fire pit outside with chairs to hang out or view the fabulous night sky here on the coast of Maine. Small refrigerator. Hotplate, Coffee/Tea electric kettle. Bottled drinking and wash water. Night-time potty on 2nd fl Compost toilet and outdoor hot shower-shared. Water - Bottled drinking water, wash water w antique wash bowl set. No inside running water, outdoor shower. Beautiful space. Climb stairs to your private second floor. road with short cut path back to house. Pls read description carefully. This is sweet simple living. Acadia is 14 miles away. Blue Hill Peninsula has hiking/walking trails, hidden beaches, art galleries, coffee shops. Five minutes away is--sweet forest meditation center open for quiet walks in the Zendo Moss Garden; Surry Arts at the Barn with summer concerts. Ten minutes walk is--Little Gallery, head of Morgan Bay and walks along the shore and in the forest. Conservation Land-Blue Hill Heritage Trust land. Ten minute drive--Surry Carrying Place Beach; Perry's Lobster Shack; park you car and walk or bike for five miles on a peninsula (dead-end) overlooking Acadia Mountains. Guest access Guests have entrance to barn with stairs which lead to private second floor. Outdoor Fire-pit is available. Parking is free and across the road. There's a little path that makes it easy. Text me an hour before arrival and upon arrival in driveway. Drop off your luggage and park across the road. PARKING Directions: Walk to car is 3 minutes. Park - Out the driveway - Go UPHILL and take your SECOND right. See sign MORGAN BAY ZENDO (532 Morgan Bay Road) ACROSS from a white house. Park in lower lot. Do NOT PARK at Surry Arts at the Barn which is downhill. Other things to note This is rural, country, coastal not suburbia. For this space, you'll want to enjoy the out of the ordinary, charming, creative accommodations in a fabulous location! Encourage a three night stay - at least. Bring clothes for everything. The famous quote is, "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute!" But, probably no snow in July and August though, so don't bring your snowshoes.
