The space A beautiful, modern and newly built garden cottage designed and decorated by award winning Adapt Design in Victoria, BC. The space was built with locally sourced materials and energy efficiency. Relax in this bright and luxurious retreat while looking out on serene Garry Oak gardens and mountains in the distance. Our property offers a unique combination of expansive acreage right within the heart of Victoria and is built to optimize this experience. Please note that the owners live on the property in the main house and may cross paths once in a while in the parking area. The cottage itself is tucked away in the large backyard with its own outside area to enjoy. This is a family friendly neighbourhood and not suitable for party goers. Sunrise Oaks is located in a quiet residential part of Victoria, walking distance to parks, the University of Victoria, Cedar Hill Golf course, restaurants, pubs, grocery stores and more. Minutes away from beautiful hikes on Mount Tolmie or Mount Doug, 5-7 minutes drive to the ocean/beaches or larger malls for shopping. Ideal for those seeking more nature than urban. Only a 10 minute drive to Downtown Victoria for all the city has to offer! Within the house you will find every utensil you need to make a gourmet meal. There is organic Salt Spring Island coffee and teas. We provide olive oil and spices as well. Fresh linens and towels with the comfort of a high end hotel but the spaciousness of your a home. Light pours through the skylights, heated tile floors and down duvets on the bed. Do yoga on the complimentary mat as you watch the sunrise through large windows. This house is made for comfort yet styled out of a magazine. There is a full washer and dryer and large closet in the main bedroom. There are two smart TV’s: one in the bedroom, and one in the living area with Netflix and well as access to wifi. You will also find a loft bedroom with another queen bed for extra quests, piled with cozy pillows and a down duvet. * * The loft is not suitable for small children or those with mobility difficulties. Guest access Private Cottage, wrap around cedar deck and small separate garden space. Other things to note As mentioned, the second bedroom is in a loft! It’s cozy and bright, with a skylight to look at the stars at night. It’s important to note that this space is accessible by ladder so not suitable for small children or people with mobility challenges. It’s perfect for older children or extra guests. Also, the stone garden stairs leading down to the cottage have no handrail — again, guests must use caution. We also have a dog and so do some of our neighbours.
