The Eagle’s Rest is a newly built log cabin in the fall of 2020. Step right off our property and into a half million acres in the Allegheny National Forest. The Tionesta River is across the street and has countless public access points along Route 666. World class trout fishing, close proximity to Cook Forest, Kinzua Dam & Allegheny Reservoir, etc. Oh and hikers love that the North Country trail is only a half mile down the road. You are quite literally in the middle of the National Forest! The space The Eagles Rest LOG CABIN was newly built in September 2020. It has a bunk bed with two full size mattress's, and a single mattress that pulls out of the bottom referred to as a trundle bed. The camp is most comfortable for 5 people or less, but extra cots/air mattress's for kids are welcome. When you pull up you will see our 21 foot flag pole with the American Flag. Go up the stairs and you are at the Eagles Rest, and yeah there are eagles that fly above the river all the time! The closest access to the Tionesta River is a 1/2 mile up the road, across the bridge. The parking area is also parking for The North Country Trail access. Just about every pull off near the river will allow you to access the river starting at the bridge down, heading south Guest access You can use any space on the property. There is a fire pit, picnic table, patio furniture set and port-a-potty that’s serviced and cleaned weekly. Property can be accessed using the front stairs. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE DRIVEWAY, it is private property. Other things to note This is a very wild area. Any animal that lives in the forest may eventually pass through our hillside. Please be respectful of the wildlife and they will generally do the same for you. Bears are common in the general area, PLEASE LOCK UP ALL FOOD AND GARBAGE.
