Cabin in Palenville

Winter guests should have an all-wheel drive to get up the driveway due to snowy conditions. If not, you can leave car in our driveway and we’ll bring you up. This cabin in the Catskill Mountains is perched on a cliff overlooking the beautiful Hudson Valley. The cabin is clean and in great shape, but you will be Glamping. This getaway has amazing views and privacy. It is located on 20 acres in the beautiful hamlet of Palenville. Close to Saugerties, Woodstock, Kingston, and Hunter Mountain. The space This property is perfect for anyone looking to escape into the mountains for a secluded vacation. From the front porch you can see clear across the Hudson Valley to the Berkshires. You'll feel as if you are in a remote location in the mountains, yet you'll be surprisingly close to the nearby towns of Woodstock, Saugerties, and Tannersville. There is a hiking trail bordering our property that is part of the Long Path. Hike to Maeli's Lookout, Poet's Ledge, Buttermilk Falls, and Kaaterskill High Peak. The cabin has no running water, therefore it has an outhouse, outdoor solar shower bags, and water storage containers for washing dishes. The cabin has electricity and there is air conditioning, a mini-fridge, Cable TV, DVD player, and primo hot and cold water dispenser. The cabin has a one-room open floor plan with a queen size bed, couch, 2 Coleman camping cots, and dining table. For our fall and winter guest there is an easy to use wood stove that will keep you cozy warm. We supply all the firewood for you and will have the stove ready for your arrival. There is also a central heating system that will keep the cabin warm when the wood stove is not in use. Return from a day of exploring and enjoy a campfire while gazing at the mountain views and beautiful Hudson Valley. We have a small farmstand on our property that offers firewood, ice cream, snacks, water and other beverages during the summer months. There is a fairly steep gravel driveway that leads to the cabin. We recommend an all-wheel drive vehicle during the winter, otherwise front-wheel drive is just fine. Due to the hazards associated with mountainous terrain and being near a cliff, this property is for adults only.
