Guests of our cottage will enjoy full use of the property and the many amenities we offer including, but not limited to: jacuzzi tub, 3 kayaks and a canoe, fire pit, firewood, picnic table, plush and comfortable furnishings, washer and dryer, lake-inspired toiletries, coffee & snack bar, games, books, expansive screened-in balcony, Cable, high-speed WiFi and much, much more. Our fabulous and unique lakefront properties are all designed and maintained with our guests' highest levels of comfort and enjoyment in mind. Guests will have access to the entire cottage with the only exceptions being the crawlspace and a locked supply cabinet in the kitchen. These areas are for owners' use only. Jason and Adam live nearby and are readily available by phone, text and/or email. The neighborhood is peaceful, beautiful and contains a mix of historical cottages, camps and newer lakefront homes. A private lake with remarkably clean water- Ashford lake is nestled deep in the woods and provides an unparalleled respite from the stresses of daily life. Rural living will require that our guests bring their own transportation. Some guests have used services like Uber/Lyft, but for the greatest convenience a personal car is best. Guests may also wish to bring their own bicycles to ride around the lake and take a cycle down the nearby old country roads. Please note that our main grocery stores and shopping centers are located about 15 minutes away from the cottage in Storrs, CT. We suggest that guests purchase groceries prior to their arrival at the cottage. There is ample refrigerator and cupboard storage space. Nature abounds! The Ashford area is surrounded by many great natural attractions like hiking, waterfalls, state and community parks. Feel like wine tasting? Several notable vineyards on the Connecticut wine trail are within 15-20 minutes of the cottage and are sure to provide enjoyable daytime excursions for you and your guests. Guests love the rural experience of staying at our cottage as it provides an unparalleled opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the chaotic world.
