The house itself is inspired by the varied tastes of its owner—think exotic finds like Persian carpets and Mexican drums, paired with vintage fireplace surrounds and mod pieces from the 1950s. Yet it adds up to a warm, welcoming vibe, from the adjoining cozy living rooms featuring a fireplace, a dining space where the giant Kauri fossil table from New Zealand and a chandelier from South Africa make a unique setting, to a piano and lots of instruments. A sleek, fully equipped kitchen is a minimalist counterpoint to the other rooms in appearance, but a central island makes it just as inviting. At Tenuta di Paternostro, there are private lounge areas, including a honeymoon-worthy suite with its own fireplace, and several open directly to the garden. Like the main living areas, the suites combine country charm with design accent pieces.The territory where Tenuta di Paternostro is located – is called Tuscia and it takes its name from the Etruscan civilization that once inhabited it.
