Architect's Hudson Valley Home in the Woods

Newly built architect's home set on a private 24 acre wooded lot in the Hudson Valley - 20 min drive to Mohonk and Minnewaska to the south and Catskills Preserve to the north. The space Downstairs is an open floor plan with floor-to-ceiling windows, locally sourced bluestone floors, bathroom, x-long dining table, energy efficient kitchen. Upstairs a semi-transparent catwalk leads to 2 large loft-style bedrooms (semi-private) with floor-to-ceiling windows, plus full bath w/ soaking tub. The house is suitable for 2 adults or small families. Please inquire if you are more than 2 adults traveling as a small family, as there is a small fee for additional guests. The property is set deep in the Catskills' woods. On the property you'll encounter woodpeckers, barred owls, brown thrashers, salamanders, and many other creatures. Maples, oaks, hemlocks, pines, witch hazel and mountain laurels are among the tree and plant varieties. Guest access Note: same day reservations please allow 3 hrs time before checking-in! Guests have access to the full house, and wooded property with outdoor dining table. Other things to note ***Please be aware short-term power and internet outages often occur in the Hudson Valley and Catskills during storms or wind. These are usually resolved by the power company within a few hours. Please note this is a modern home with a lot of glass. There are no blinds on the bedroom floor-to-ceiling windows, but it is set deep in the woods and entirely private (with exception of a barred owl, who has made our outdoor area his home :) The feeling of floating in the trees is part of the experience.
