This remodeled, rustic, farmhouse is in a beautiful rural setting. It sits on 10 acres of wooded land at the end of a dead-end road providing plenty of peace and quiet. Sit on one of three porches, or, float in the pool while you look over the land and watch the wildlife. The many windows in the house allow you to look out over the two ponds and enjoy the scenery. There is also plenty of outdoor space with chairs on the front and back porches, tables, umbrellas and chaise lounges. The space The entire 2 story, 5 bedroom, 3 bath house is yours to enjoy. It has a wood burning fireplace, full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and ceiling fans in every room. There are 2 coffee makers available with coffee, creamer, and sweetener provided. The house has a washer and dryer which you can feel free to use as well. We have tried to equip the house with everything you will need from pots and pans to dishes and towels. The house also has satellite internet TV with Wifi. Come and play horseshoes in our horseshoe pit or enjoy sitting by the fire pit. We want everyone to enjoy themselves, but, we are firm that there are NO MORE THAN 12 GUESTS ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY AT ANY TIME. This property is located just outside of Rockwall County, and, only 12 miles to historic Rockwall which is on the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard. We are within 10 miles of 6 event venues: Occasions at Stone River, Big Sky Event Hall, The Pearl at Sabine Creek, Little Wren Wedding Venue, The Springs Event Venue, The White Sparrow, and Country Charm Events which is only 1.8 miles away. This house is perfect for the family attending an event at one of these venues. There are a few things we want to caution you about. Because of the rural location, this property is difficult to find and we strongly recommend you arrive before dark. We are happy to meet you nearby, on an easily accessed highway and escort you in. If you try it on your own, it is imperative that you follow the map we will provide. Cell service can be spotty so you may not want to rely on your GPS. There are a few gravel roads to travel to reach this destination. They are fine for most cars, but they are not good for low clearance vehicles like sports cars. It is important to be aware this is in the country, and. while we have taken every precaution we can, you need to watch out for snakes and scorpions. Finally, the pool is not fenced. If you bring small children, you will need to be aware they cannot play outside unattended. Guest access You will have access to the entire house and all 10 acres to explore as you like. Other things to note AT&T phones do not work well in this area. We do have wi-fi that so you can do wi-fi calling, but, this is not ideal for a work situation.
