Welcome to the Basement Bungalow, a thoughtfully designed space tailored for medical students, traveling nurses, and driven professionals. This cozy apartment fosters community and productivity, offering stress-free accommodations for work, relaxation, and connection. Share the home with like-minded individuals who value a clean, peaceful environment, making it the perfect haven for focused professionals. The space The Bungalow is a two bedroom, one bathroom basement apartment in a two story home. You have a separate entrance located on the back patio. Each room has its own keyed lock for peace of mind. The communal space consists of a full kitchen, a large living room with flat screen TV ready to log into your favorite streaming services, an in-unit washer and dryer, and a large un-finished mechanical room for additional storage with locked lockers for the security of your things. The WiFi is fast and a direct ethernet connection to the router is available if needed. The basement stays a comfortable temperature but please note that the thermostat for the AC/heating are located in the upstairs apartment. Hot/cold fans and air purifiers are located in each room for added comfort and convenience when desired. Guest access The entrance to the Basement Bungalows is located down the driveway, through the large gate, and around to the back patio. You'll acquire your individual house, room, and locker keys from room-specific lockboxes located on the nearby pole (only one key set per guest). Lockbox code is sent before arrival. During your stay Myself or my brothers will be around if you need us. Also, the other guests are generally a helpful source of info if needed. Our communal living platform, and use of Slack messenger, allow for easy communication between long-term residents, new guests, and the hosts. You'll likely meet the upstairs long-term tenants in the communal backyard where the gas-grill is located or while tending their vegetable garden in the summer. They drop off all mail and packages to the back door since deliveries are taken to the main entrance/mailbox of the house. Other things to note As you know by now, the home is a communal living situation occupied by other working/studying professionals. Please be cognizant of your noise level later in the evenings. Kindly take your shoes off by the door to keep the carpet clean. There is no cleaning crew coming by to pick up after you. We expect our guests to take the extra minute to tidy up after using communal areas, a little goes a long way in keeping everyone in the house happy and comfortable. Above all, be respectful, understanding, and enjoy your stay! The upstairs apartment of the home is occupied by 2 courteous long-term tenants and their fur babies. It should be understood that they may be heard from time to time. They're helpful and approachable (directly or via Slack) if anything is needed. We're also happy to make introductions or help facilitate communication.
