Quiet and private, only common area shared with us is first floor entry into breezeway. Free parking on premises. Full coffee setup, plus homemade scones in seasonal flavors for your enjoyment! The space Our home is on a somewhat quiet street of single family homes with neighbors nearby. The guest area overlooks the rear of our property which is quieter than the front. We often see families of deer and wild turkeys passing through! After climbing the stairs to the guest suite, you will find an area for shoes, coats and luggage and a door opening onto a private deck. The living area is spacious and comfortable, with a couch/chaise, comfy arm chair, and book case with lots of reading material. The floor is a beautiful natural cherry, with an area rug in the sitting area. There is a work space in the far right corner of the living area, pleasantly lit with a north facing window, with a sizable desk, 24” monitor, Ethernet connection and comfortable full body support office chair. To the left is the kitchen in an alcove with coffee set up, small appliances and enough space for simple meal prep. The front bedroom has a queen size bed plus a twin bed/floor couch which is also amazing for lounging. This room has a clean, modern feel and features a desk and chair beside the window, an arm chair and ottoman for reading or enjoying coffee, and a dresser and clothing rack. The back bedroom also has a queen bed and features some antiques; a large china cupboard with more books and a dresser that belonged to one of our grandparents. This room has a closet with space to hang clothes and store luggage. The bathroom has a tub shower, vanity and mirror, ironing board and iron and plenty of bathroom linens. The towel bar is above a baseboard heater with its own thermostat, so your towels will be warm if you hang them there! This space doubles as a gallery for the artist homeowner. Original paintings and prints complete the homelike feeling and are available for purchase. Guest access Feel free to use the deck, it is quite pleasant in the mornings. Other things to note Please note there is no television. WiFi connection is great if you want to stream on your own device. There is a flat screen monitor and HDMI cables for you to stream from your own device (standard USB connection). If you are traveling with children, please note that you may need to move some items to a secure location (there is a closet with a secure door in a bedroom) if you feel they would be a hazard to your child. I will do what seems reasonable ahead of time based on the information you provide about the age and stage of your little one(s). Note that there are stairs and no gate. My scones are homemade with every attention to food safety. Items are individually frozen in small portions. Please advise if you have any food allergies.
