There is ample room throughout the home for air mattresses if needed it’s ideal for families. The lake itself stretches just under two miles long and half a mile wide, creating a calm and inviting setting ideal for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Thanks to its shallow depth, the water warms earlier than nearby lakes, making it perfect for enjoying long summer days on the water. In the winter months, the lake freezes sooner than others in the region, offering a classic upstate New York experience. Our home is designed with families and groups in mind, providing a comfortable and welcoming space to unwind after a day outdoors. Spend your mornings sipping coffee with tranquil lake views, afternoons exploring the water, and evenings relaxing together in a peaceful setting. Guests are welcome to enjoy our four kayaks, perfect for exploring the quiet beauty of the lake at your own pace. If you have a small power boat, a public launch is conveniently located just one mile away at the north end of the lake. While the setting feels private and secluded, you’re still just minutes from charming towns and popular attractions. Odessa is only 5 minutes away for essentials, Watkins Glen is 15 minutes away and known for its stunning state park and waterfalls, and Ithaca and Elmira are both within a 25–30 minute drive. Corning, home to the renowned Corning Museum of Glass, is just 40 minutes away. You’ll also be within easy reach of the Finger Lakes’ celebrated wineries, breweries, and distilleries, along with countless hiking trails, restaurants, and cultural destinations—all within about 15-60 minutes depending on what location you were trying to go to. We kindly ask that you treat the home with the same care and respect as you would your own. Other things to note The lawn maintenance crew comes Thursday or Friday mornings, but I can arrange for them to come on a different day if you prefer.
