Antique Colonial in the White Mountains
Stay at this antique colonial brick home that has been standing tall for 200+ years. Built in circa 1810, many of the original features of the home still exist including antique wall coverings, brass door knobs/key hole covers and high ceilings. Walk back in time where life was simple and elegant. Enjoy easy access to all of the wonders of nature in the White Mountain Region, The Brick Store (America's Oldest General Store), and the farms of New England. Available through call, email, or text (text messaging preferred). Just down the street is America's Oldest General Store, The Brick Store. You can find most things to better your stay from coffee, snacks, souvenirs, tasty fudge and any little house item you may need. Also close to the Big Eddy swimming area, Franconia Notch and many hiking trials. Easy access as it sits right on Route 302. This house is built on the old stage coach highway to Dartmouth College, and it’s still used as Highway 302 today. There is some audible road noise in the front rooms of the home. There isn’t much traffic between 10pm and 6am, but I mention it just in case. 1 of the 4 bedrooms is at the front of the home. Additionally the house is easily accessible from the road, but there is only a gravel driveway to the side entrance. There is parking for two cars, but there needs to be clear access to the back of the property/carriage house because it is a separate space for our property manager. The carriage house has a shared door with the kitchen that is locked/lockable from both sides.
