The Boston Globe referred to Fat Sheep Farm & Cabins as a "magical place," with "five stunning cabins [that] are spotless, spacious, and perfectly placed to provide access to incredible views." Enjoy a unique lodging experience while staying on our working farm. Our guests can enjoy our cheese, produce, eggs from our chickens and a visit with the farm animals. The farm feels secluded but is only 10 minutes from I91, about 11 miles from both Woodstock and Quechee, and 6 miles from the GMHA. **If this cabin is booked on the dates you are interested in visiting, we have four other cabins listed on Airbnb** We are a licensed lodging facility in Vermont and you can find us by searching our farm name. Promotions, discounts, or special offers are unavailable through Airbnb. Our lowest rates are only available directly. Please note that the cabin accommodates 7 people but there is a $20 charge for each additional person after 4 people (a person is 3 years old and up). We are a small working farm on 60 acres in Hartland, Vermont. We grow vegetables, have a small herd of dairy sheep and some very spoiled chickens. We also have some exceptionally cute Nigerian Dwarf goats. We like to share all the gifts of farm life with our guests. During your stay on the farm you can enjoy fresh farm eggs and whatever vegetables we have ready for harvest at the time of your visit. We have a small farm stand located in our event barn that sells our products, as well as, other local Vermont products. We also offer Sourdough Bread baking Workshops and will soon offer cheesemaking workshops. Each private cabin has its own porch with Adirondack chairs overlooking our growing fields and the Vermont hills. All of the cabins have heat, air-conditioning, WIFI, and fully equipped kitchens. The cabin has a private bedroom with a queen bed, a spiral staircase leading to an open loft space that also has a queen bed, a private bathroom with a tub/ shower combo and a spacious living area with a sleeper sofa that pulls out into a queen bed. Clean linens are provided. While this cabin is pet friendly, there is a $25/night per pet charge--please let us know if you plan on bringing any pets. Guests are welcome to enjoy all parts of the farm. During your stay, guests are welcome to participate in morning animal chores which may include feeding the sheep and goats, taking the animals out to pasture, milking the sheep, and collecting chicken eggs. On the farm, you can also play on our new, amazing natural playground (check out our photos), play corn hole with some beautiful views, walk/snowshoe our forest trail, go sledding right outside your cabin, and enjoy our shared fire pit overlooking some amazing sunsets. Todd and Suzy are almost always around working on the farm. Every morning you can participate in farm chores with the animals, for as much or as little time as you would like. Todd and Suzy are always willing to help with suggestions for things to do or places to eat in the area, and they are very fast to respond on email (if you don't come up to the barn for chores to ask in person). However, if you are just looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation with little interaction with other people it is easy to be entirely on your own and check in and check out remotely. Suzy And Todd’s home is located in Windsor, Vermont, United States. The farm is located on a quiet dirt road. The dirt roads are great for strolling or bike riding. The scenery is full of rolling hills and beautiful farmland. We are close to many popular Vermont attractions. We are only 11 miles from both Woodstock and Quechee. There is always something fun to do in both Woodstock and Quechee including walking around Woodstock Village, visiting the Billings Farm and Museum, VINS, glassblowing at Simon Pearce, and Quechee Gorge. We are also a short drive from Ascutney Mountain, Hanover, New Hampshire and Dartmouth College, King Arthur Flour in Norwich, and Harpoon Brewery in Windsor. In the winter, there are plenty of opportunities for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the area. Our farm is right down the road from the VAST Trail System for snowmobiling and we are a 45 minute drive from both Killington and Okemo Mountains for downhill skiing. The farm is located one mile up a dirt road. Although we are relatively close by to popular tourist destinations, shops and restaurants, we are not close to any public transportation. **If this cabin is booked on the dates you are interested in visiting, we have four other cabins listed on Airbnb** Promotions, discounts, or special offers are unavailable through Airbnb. We add a $25/night per pet cleaning fee for guests that want to bring their pets with them. The cabins are stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, cooking oil, and salt and pepper. We also have horse stalls available for guests looking to bring their horses with them.
