Description

"Mezcal Molly" is a 1976 Avion 34 foot trailer, lovingly refurbished to reflect the character and colors of her new home in the Texas high desert just outside of Big Bend National Park. Molly is located at the famed Marathon Motel RV park, which gives our guests access to a beautiful courtyard, outdoor fireplace, and an astronomy park.. Molly easily sleeps four with a full-size bed and two singles, has workspace, WiFi, AC, and a full bathroom with shower. The space Our craftsmen designed Molly's new interior for comfort and a cultural fit to Texas Trans Pecos region. They kept the original wood, added an epoxy wood block kitchen counter top, and a copper kitchen sink. There is also a safe for valuables, a new, large refrigerator, air conditioning, heater, towels, extra blankets, desk that seats 2-3, power in all parts of the camper, microwave, and 2-burner electric cooktop. A picnic table, and the RV park's sparkling rest rooms and shower facilities are right out the door. The Marathon Motel is a Route 66 style motor court that has been completely redone in stucco and desert earth tones, and the cabins are great places to accommodate any of your extra guests. The motel was featured as a setting in the classic 1980s film, "Paris, Texas," which was written by Sam Shepherd. Guest access Molly's guests will have access to the facilities of the Marathon Motel and RV park, which includes the fire place, court yard, astronomy park, and the cantina on days that it is open. Other things to note If you are in a four-wheel drive vehicle, you might want to consider driving Pinto Canyon Road, which runs south out of Marfa down to the border. The approximately 70 mile route is only paved half way and that is what makes the trip spectacular. The scenery and high desert back country are magnificent and the last 30 miles will stay in your memory forever.
