You will enjoy the spacious and recently renovated junior one-bedroom, one-bath apartment in the heart of DC's Bloomingdale neighborhood. The apartment is located in the basement of a charming 1910 row-home near several restaurants, cafes, and bars. The unit is a 10-minute walk to Shaw Metro station and close to downtown, the U.S. Capitol, the National Mall, and the Smithsonian museums. They are also a short Uber ride away. It is perfect for couples for a vacation or a business trip to D.C. The bedroom includes a queen bed with a tuft and needle mattress, a full-length mirror, and a closet. Note: it is a junior one-bedroom, so no door separates the bedroom from the living room. There is a table that seats two in the kitchen that can also be used to work remotely. The apartment also features a small nook with a desk and monitor for you to work remotely. Guest access You have a private entrance in the front of the building that is controlled with an electronic keypad. Other things to note Parking Most street parking in my neighborhood is free but limited to 2-hours during the day (7 am to 8:30 pm or 7 am to midnight, depending on the block) unless you have a residential parking permit. DC's new AirBnB rules prohibit hosts from providing visitor parking passes for guests. Many hosts continue to violate these rules, but I do not. There is one parking space in the back of the property, but it is where I park my car. If you need parking during your stay, I am usually willing to let you rent my spot for $10 a night, but you must get my permission and pay in advance through Airbnb.
