Delaney’s Compound-Deeply discounted monthly stays

Delaney’s Compound Guest House accommodates up to 4 guests. Dogs are welcome with pre-approval & $75 fee (for 1st pet). A small fenced yard keeps them safe! The Guest House was built using reclaimed lumber & other charming elements from the original farmhouse outbuilding (circa 1889). There’s a cozy fireplace for snuggling and a second floor balcony for coffee or cocktails. The front yard has a fire pit and river views. The Guest House is sparkling clean, fully furnished & ready to welcome you! The space Please read the info page on the kitchen table when you arrive. OUTDOORS: The Guest House has off-street parking at the front door for 2 vehicles; making unloading and packing-up easy. The deck has an umbrella-covered table that comfortably seats four and a deck hammock (located in the closet under the stairs) for chilling. Enjoy coffee or cocktails on the second floor balcony and then head out for a campfire after dark around the large front yard fire-pit (shared). Old fashioned Adirondack chairs, a fire-pit grill and cooking utensils are provided (located under the back stairs) as is a supply of firewood. All you need to bring are the burgers and s’mores! Smoking is allowed on the deck, balcony or yard only. Please use ashtrays (provided), empty all butts into a trash bag and place in the outside trash can before leaving. INDOORS: Towels - You’ll find beach blanket and towels located in the closet near the front door. The bath towels are for use in the Guest House bathrooms only - not for Beach use. Please shake sand off and leave wet, sandy items outside on the deck rails. Sleeping accommodations - The second floor bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with tub/shower and a full bed that sleeps 2 guests. In the closet you’ll find a foam chair that converts to a single bed for a young child. The living room sofa also provides an additional sleeping spot. Sheets and mattress protectors are located in the drawers below the full bed. Please use a mattress protector under all sheets. Blankets and extra pillows can be found in the built-in cedar hutch beside the bedroom closet. Please note: Accommodation costs are for 2 adults and one child. There is an added fee of $50 night per additional guest. Kitchen - The kitchen has everything you’ll need to prepare your own meals on the gas stovetop or oven as well as a microwave and dishwasher. The dining area has a banquet that comfortably seats four. An important note: Colonial Beach has “soft water” - use less soap in the dishwasher and washing machine. NO BLEACH and NO DRYER SHEETS Main Floor - The living room sectional sofa is large and comfy and the gas fireplace adds warmth and charm when relaxing in front of the smart TV for movie nights. The main floor also has remote controlled room darkening blinds, a full bathroom with a shower, and a washer/dryer. The AC/Heat setting can be adjusted separately for guest comfort on the first and second floors. (Please keep exterior doors and windows closed when using the AC/Heat). HISTORY: The Guest House is part of a larger Compound* that continues to be developed. The main house has grown over the years from it’s origin as a two room fisherman’s cottage circa 1889. The beautiful hardwood floors and shiplap along the stairwell of the Guest House was once the exterior walls of the original farmhouse outbuilding. The grounds now include an efficiency Studio and Vintage Camper as well as the Guest House. It’s original and endearing charm remains and reflects a simpler time in Colonial Beach. The Compound is a work-in-progress with old and new contrasting in perfectly imperfect ways! Please Note: All guests on the property must be booked through AirBnB. In other words—Guests are not permitted to invite guests of their own. Please inquire with owner if you would like to discuss an exception. When you make your reservation please include the number of guests in your group. The first two adult guests and one child are included in the nightly fee. Additional guests are $50 per night, per person (total of 4) Please respect our year-round neighbors by maintaining hours of relative quiet between 10am and 10pm. No parties please! Guest access Guests have full use of the Guest House, deck and balcony as well as off-street parking for up to 2 vehicles. Please keep all vehicles on the graveled areas and off the grass. The fire pit is located in the front of the property in the shared front yard. Use of the fire pit requires the continuous supervision of an adult (18 and older). There is a garden hose by the back yard steps. Please bring this out and keep by the fire pit for safety. Before retiring for the evening extinguish flames and embers, turn off hose and return it to the back yard. There’s usually a generous stack of firewood ready for your use (although it’s not guaranteed) and you can often find an ample supply of sticks in the front yard or the park, or driftwood from the beach for use as well. The fire pit has a grill for cooking out. You’ll find utensils for outdoor cooking stored under back stairs. The Guest House has a small side yard (16’x22’) that is fully fenced and accessible through the back door of the cottage. Long term rentals are gladly accepted and discounted (10% off weekly rate and 25% off for stays of a month or more). Government per diem rate is accepted. I’d be happy to work with you to keep total costs within your allotted budget using the special option offer if you’ll be here for longer than a month. Please reach out and I’ll send you an amended reservation to reflect the adjusted price. Other things to note IMPORTANT DETAILS HERE - PLEASE READ: -Only registered guests allowed on the property. (In other words, as a guest, you may not invite your own guests). -Please close all doors and windows when the heat and AC are in use. ADDITIONAL FEES LODGING/PETS/GUESTS/CLEANING Cleaning: Cleaning fee is $75.00 for stays of less than 30 days. For stays over 30 days the cleaning fee is doubled. People: Accommodation costs are for 2 adults and one child. There is a $50 fee added per night for each additional guest. Total occupancy not to exceed 4 total. Pet Fees: The pet fee is $75 for the first pet and $50 for each additional pet for visits of less than 30 days. During stays of more than 30 days the pet fee is doubled. Pets Inside: Please keep pets off the furniture or use the pet pads to cover the sofa and beds. A dog gate is attached to the wall in the laundry area. This will allow you to corral your pets in the laundry and bathroom area while you’re out of the house. About Barking: If your dog barks continuously and audibly while you’re away you’ll be asked to return or keep your pet with you while you’re away from the guest house. Pets Outside: Kindly remove and dispose of pet waste in the outdoor trash bin. Dog waste that has not been removed from the yard will incur a $100 additional clean-up fee. Guests are expected to supervise their pets while outside.
