Old Economy Village features a museum telling of the Old Harmonists . There are outdoor gardens and several festival events held throughout the year. Old Economy area of Ambridge is in the historical district. Local parks with trails are listed in our Guidebook, along with other local attractions, churches and shopping. Room is cozy with a full size bed, linens, towels and extra blankets. 32" Roku TV. Table +1 chair for eating and workspace. 4.5 cu ft fridge, microwave and coffee maker with coffee, tea and essentials provided. Bathroom is supplied with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, first aid kit, hair dryer, cleaning supplies. Enter through the front door and Room is upstairs. Street parking. Guest access to front entryway, stairs, hallway and bathroom. First floor doors are all private except for entry/exit door. We are available throughout the day. Please respect nighttime for sleep, unless you have an emergency. Quiet time is between 10 PM and 7 AM. Our immediate area boasts Old Economy Village which includes a museum, welcome center, original Harmonist buildings and beautiful gardens. There are several antique shops, specialty shops and variety shops right in town. If you walk into town, be prepared, we are up a hill so there's that, on the way back. Trinity School for Ministry is located a few blocks away. There are many nearby restaurants, Fritzy's Bistro, Maple Restaurant, K & N Restaurant, Penny's Delight, Annie Lee's and Bridgetown tap house, along with several pizza and wing places which are listed in our Guide Book. Little Athens offers Greek take-out. Niki's Wok offers Chinese take-out and delivery. La Poblanita offers street tacos. George's Market offers Mediterranean eat in or take-out. There are 2 micro breweries: Altered Genius & Fermata Brewing Company along with other bar/lounges. Coffee shops are Merchant St Coffee and Old Crow Coffee shop. For tea lovers there's Aunt Bridget's Tea Room. Many restaurants are offering delivery and pick up service. Several convenience/gas stations, and CVS and Rite Aid pharmacies. And of course, like every other small town, a Dollar General. The closest grocery is Shop N Save, about a 5 min drive. 25 min drive to Pittsburgh, with it's many sights and universities. 15 min to RMU, Pgh Int Airport and Shell parking lots. Lyft & Uber. Public transportation is within walking distance of 1 1/2 blocks to go to Pgh, Monaca, Sewickley and other areas. For outdoor nature activity there are several parks in the area. See the Guidebook for listings for these attractions and activities. The Guidebook also lists nearest local Medical Services. There are security cameras covering all exterior entrances. The stairs on the exterior side of the house are not for guest use as there is a resident living down there. We have 2 dogs outside of the guest area, who use the separately fenced yard. Both will bark when you enter and exit the house.
