Relax in clean comfort on Aberdeen Lake and the Tenn-Tom Waterway. Whether fishing in warm months or just watching the geese and ducks in the winter, it is quiet and cozy. It has a large screened porch, electric fireplace, pier, shady fenced yard, rockers, a swing, fire pit, gas and charcoal grills. The kitchen is well equipped and the home is handicap accessible with a porch lift, grab bars and ramps. Columbus (16 mi), Tupelo (38 mi), MSU/Starkville(45 mi) & River Birch Golf Course (10mi) The space The main house living area is very open with views directly on to the water. You have comfortable and inviting furniture that begs for you to just relax and enjoy that view. There is also a twin sleeper sofa with a gel memory foam mattress. There is a small sitting room with rockers and a view of the water as well. This is very cozy for coffee on cool mornings. The master bedroom has a large bathroom attached that has a soaking tub as well as a small shower. It has grab bars by the toilet and the shower if needed. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom with a tub/shower. One of these bedrooms has a desk for your use. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other a double. The outdoor space is very large with a portion of the river side of the yard fenced for pets and children. The back porch is wonderful with screening and seating on the upper section and rockers and grills on the lower. There is a fan and generally a steady breeze on the porch. The front and side yards are very large and allow for things such as football or for just throwing a ball. There are yard games as well as kayaks for your use. The small dock is an easy location to tie up your boat if needed. We have also placed a storm shelter under the edge of the front awning. This does have seating, lights, a fan and such things as towels and blankets. It’s small but weighs 21,000 pounds and won’t be going anywhere. All in all, you will find this to be a sweet home that begs for family to enjoy it. We also made the choice to charge NO CLEANING FEE in order to avoid any hidden fees when booking. Guest access You have use of the entire home and the large yard as well as the little dock and kayaks. Other things to note Fees: We have never chosen to charge cleaning or pet fees as we do not wish to “nickel and dime” our guests. Swimming: The area right in front of the house is great for fishing, kayaking and boating but not great for swimming. There are other options for swimming if you wish. Please just ask if you need more information. This is also found in the directory in the house. Kayaks: There are two sit in kayaks and life jackets for use at your own risk. If mobility is an issue: While the doors are normal width and 32 inches wide, the house has been easily used with a transport chair and a walker. There is a lift on the front porch to assist individuals with mobility or stair issues but is also great for groceries and “stuff”. It is simple to use . There are small ramps coming out of the front and back porch doors to get you safely on to the porch. Grab bars are in the master bath but additional assistive equipment can be added if needed. The shower is not wheelchair accessible but has a grab bar inside as well as outside for ease of entry. Fisherman: There is a cleaning station under one porch and boat launching is easily achieved at the marina 2 miles down the road and you can bring your trailer back to the rental as there is more than enough room. Infants and Toddlers: We have a pack and play waiting for your use. For toddlers there are bumper pillows that go along the sides of the bed under the fitted sheet to prevent rolling off the bed. They are stored in the middle bedroom closet for your access. However, I am happy to have them set up and waiting for you if you wish. I also have a video monitor for watching a child if needed and you just need to let me know so I will have it waiting. Cleaning supplies will be available if you need to use them.
