Westwood Riverside (second Heaven)

Close to town yet a world apart. Single riverfront campsite with use of about 10 acres of a 50 plus acre estate. This former apple orchard is an original King Of England deeded tract. Great kayaking , hiking, Fishing, wildlife watching and more. The site has a covered picnic table, 8x8 eureka tent ( set up) ,fire pit with grill and wood supply, 2 burner coleman stove with fuel, outdoor solar shower, compost toilet, cooler, Drinking water on site. On the river you can explore 3 islands. The space Nice shaded roomy camping area on the Wallkill River. Small boat launch area. You will have the whole place to yourself. You are in the middle of a wildlife refuge with a diverse plant and animal population. Paddle upstream to the old woolen mill that is now City Winery or downstream to town. 2 miles by car to Angry Orchard Cidery and 20 minutes to New Paltz and the Shawangunk Ridge Guest access You will have the sole use of approx 10 acres of trails and an island. Other things to note This is a tent camping site. No "Towable" campers because of the terrain. Small Class B campervans allowed depending on time of year. Maximum of 2 vehicles at the site. Minimum of 2 nights stay on Fridays and Saturdays.
