The Roost, Strawbale Construction

You will be staying in picturesque Northern Bucks County in a Strawbale constructed home. We are located on 25 acres with a 4 acre organic orchard. Our property abuts 5286 acre Nockamixon State Park which has mountain biking, boating, fishing and hiking. We are out in the country but only an hour from Philadelphia and 1 1/2 hours to New York City. You will be located in walking distance of a coffee shop, Italian restaurant and within 20 to 30 minutes of Doylestown, Frenchtown and New Hope. The space It is strawbale construction with earthen floors and walls. The bathroom has a Tadelakt finish for the shower and windowsill with a soaking tub ( we have epsom salt, baking soda and essences for a relaxing soak). From the upstairs window you can see the living roof and we have used reclaimed barn wood for accents. The full kitchen has all the amentities with utensils, pots/pans and plates for having a home cooked meal. There is easily accessed off street parking. Guest access The guest house and porch are yours for the duration of the stay. If you would like to use the connected porches or barbeque area please ask. The Barn, Orchard and all equipment for our farm operation are off limits, unless accompanied by myself or my husband.
