I put my heart into upgrading this "good bones" 1912 Victorian and upgraded everything to turned the 3 upstairs bedrooms into studios in which I would be very happy to live for a couple of years. Interesting mid-century furniture. Sunlight. Black out curtains. Warm when you want it to be. Breezy when it suits you. Nearby grocery stores, restaurants, cafés, and transit on MLK, Telegraph and market Street. Ashby and MacArthur Bart each a 20-minute walk. Bikeable, scooters around the corner. Safety is very important to me. House wide, wired smoke alarms. Fire suppression blankets and fires extinguishers in every unit. Emergency lights accessible. First aid kits in two locations. You are unlikely to see her, as she lives in the back which has a separate entrance. Infrequently, another on the floor may have a dog or cat. Dogs must be quiet and well-trained.
