Quiet Mountain Home, Welcome Business Travelers
Guests will stay in the nicely furnished top floor of our beautiful mountain home. The upstairs consists of three large bedrooms with one bathroom. Guests may choose one of the three bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a Cal King bed and beautiful views. Bedroom 2 has a Queen size bed. The pale sea colors are soothing. This is often “the favorite room”. Bedroom 3 has a Queen size bed and Juliet balcony. Guests will enjoy a peaceful retreat -fresh air, mountain breeze, views and sunsets aplenty. Business travelers like the home away from home atmosphere. Goodbye stale hotel rooms. The upstairs area is designated for guest use. Please do not use areas on the bottom floor of the home. Out back, guests may use the gazebo area, which is a favorite spot for sunset viewing. When exiting the front entrance, head right to find the gazebo. Our RV guests may be using the gazebo as well. Want to view sunsets privately? Grab a chair and head a little ways down the pathway. There is a path from the gazebo down and around to the chicken coop. We love to see guests taking that path and sitting on the swing along the path. The views are inspiring. Amenities that guests may reserve to use: Clothing washer and dryer Hot tub Elliptical machine Pilates reformer Small trampoline Free weights We love to share our experiences with other travelers for example hiking options, good restaurants, locations travelers would not want to miss. We might come out and say hello during a sunset. Short visits are always welcome. We are 30 minutes away from Bakersfield, also 30 minutes away (in the other direction) from Tehachapi. Guests should stop there if they need a grocery store before arriving. Up the road, there is a café called The Keene Café. It is a favorite breakfast and lunch spot. **Important** For guests that are traveling eastbound on Hwy 58, from Bakersfield, Google Maps will guide guests up a hazardous dirt road. Instead, guests should stay on the 58 and take the Hart Flat exit. After exiting the freeway, follow Google Maps from there. To be precise, once you exit the freeway turn south. Take note of your odometer. The road will turn left onto Clear Creek Rd. Depending on which off ramp you used, you’ll travel 1.9 or 2 miles from the off ramp. Turn onto Hart Flat Rd. Even with Google Maps, people miss this turn often. So, watch your odometer. Also, important from Hwy 58, do NOT take the Keene exit. Ironically, you cannot get to our Keene home from there Call us if you get lost, 661-805-1408. Late night calls are no problem. We are close to many tourist spots and airports. Yosemite is three hours away. Beaches are 2 1/2 hours away. Sequoia national Park is 1 1/2hours away.
