We accept guests of all genders, sexualities, and cultural backgrounds. Note: This is a shared home, not a vacation rental—there is no full-time staff. We ask for empathy and realistic expectations during your stay. The cleaning fee ($90) is requested after the reservation is confirmed to avoid additional airbnb fees. Guest access You have access to the entire apartment except for the other bedrooms. During your stay I try my best to be available if you need something. If we both have time, it would be cool to connect over some food or drinks :) Other things to note Frequently Asked Questions: Q: Who do I share the apartment with? A: You will share common areas with up to three others—typically young professionals or students from around the world. Most guests stay between 2 to 6 months, and some for over a year. Q: What is the laundry situation? A: Like many NYC homes, there is no in-unit laundry. However, a great laundromat is just one block away, offering both self-service machines and affordable wash-and-fold services. Q: Can I have a tour of the apartment before booking? A: As the apartment is typically at full occupancy, in-person viewings aren't possible. Q: Can I have the exact address before booking? A. The exact address is only shared once a booking is confirmed, for obvious security reasons. The map in the listing shows the approximate location, which can be used to calculate commutes and explore the area. Q: Can I lock my room? A: You can lock your room from the inside for privacy, but not with a key, in compliance with city regulations. Since the minimum stay is ususally 30 days, turnover is kept to a minimum. Every application is reviewed carefully to help maintain a safe and harmonious environment. Q: Is the neighborhood safe? A: The short answer is "Yes". New York is the safest large metropolis in the US, and NYPD crime data suggests that our neighborhood is as safe as most neighborhoods in the city. However, it is hard to give a definitive answer regarding the perception of safety. Given its status as one of the most visited cities in the world, it's important to exercise normal precautions. Q: What's the visitor policy? A: Occasional, respectful, and discreet visitors are generally welcome with prior host approval. Please share any specific needs before the reservation to find a solution; note that an additional charge may apply. Additional Note: We provide light-colored cotton sheets and towels, but they do stain easily. For hygiene reasons, we can't reuse linens with marks like makeup or blood, and because these stains need immediate treatment, they often won't come out if left until your checkout. Please be mindful during your stay, and if an accident happens, kindly spot-clean it right away so we can save the fabric! If a stain is permanent, we’ll have to ask you to cover the replacement cost.
