The Captain's Quarters is one of the three master suites located in The Inn at Island Time. It is our most grand suite, featuring a two-person soaking tub, custom tile, a private deck, and a kitchenette with wet bar. The living area features a sofa, flat screen TV (Netflix), and a beautiful faux fireplace for mood lighting. Separated by a partial wall for privacy, the bedroom features a brand new Serta mattress & overlooks the pond. Enjoy a relaxing stay at “The Captain’s Quarters”. The space The Captain's Quarters is an ideal alternative to renting a motel room or small cottage for your Hatteras Island stay. New in 2018, this suite is completely new and well appointed with privacy, relaxation, and comfort in mind. This suite is one of two suites located on the second floor, and has a kitchenette (microwave, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and wet bar), a living area (sofa, TV with Netflix, and a faux fireplace for mood lighting), in addition to a private balcony deck with seating. The suite has beautiful handmade ceilings, 100+ year old reclaimed heart pine flooring, and tray ceilings with mood lighting. The bedroom is separated by a partial wall, and has views of the backyard pond. Linens and essentials are included. Guest access You will have complete access to the home's amenities: shared outdoor decks, yard, hot tub, propane grill, corn hole boards, bicycles, kayaks, recycled concrete fire pit, and indoor shared spaces (game room, desk/work space, and living room). Guests have access to the home's kitchen, as well as to the home's collection of books and DVDs. *Note: the hot tub is located on a shared deck with the grill and tiki bar. We also have beach towels/chairs/gear for you to use/borrow as needed. Other things to note The Captain's Quarters, as well as our other suites, do not have daily housekeeping, but are serviced on an as-needed basis. Bed linens are refreshed every three days. Should you need laundry service during your stay, please let us know and we will take care of it for you. An iron and ironing board are located on the main floor of the home in the laundry room. The Captain's Quarters is NOT pet friendly. However, please note that there are pets on the property. During your stay, you will likely see Tucker and Luke (our Goldendoodle mascots) in the back yard, as well as our flock of ducks and chickens. Only the "Lightkeeper's Retreat" is pet friendly. No pets are allowed inside the main home. *Beach Access: The closest beach access for 4x4 is Ramp 49 at the Billy Mitchell Airport Road. It is about a mile from the house. The closest ramp to park and walk over is just ahead, about 1.5 miles from the house, the Frisco Bathhouse. It has ample parking, showers, and restrooms.
