Piacenza's on Wabikon DUÉ - Lakeside Cabin
Description
Wake up to serene lake views in this handcrafted Northwoods cabin—tucked along protected shoreline and forest. Family owned since 1947 - a rare retreat for both quiet reflection and lakeside adventure. We list another cabin (Piacenza's on Wabikon UNO) that sleeps 2. The space Your dream cabin getaway starts here — right on the shores of pristine Wabikon Lake, surrounded by federally protected shoreline, Chequamegon-Nicolet forest and pure Northwoods solitude. One of only four residences on the entire lake shoreline, this brand-new retreat (re-built in 2019) brings modern comfort to timeless beauty. Originally part of our family’s 1947 fishing resort, the property carries generations of history and charm. The connected twin lakes - one studied by the Smithsonian for its rare natural diversity — remain almost completely undeveloped, making this a truly one-of-a-kind escape. Inside, you’ll find handcrafted details, carefully selected décor, and sweeping lake views from nearly every window. Enjoy morning coffee on the deck, curl up with a book by the water, or unwind with a game of pool or darts in the private game room. Spend your days fishing, paddling, hiking, or biking, then take in the views on the lakeside patio or relax under the stars. DUE’ is also equipped with two kayaks and lifejackets for your pleasure. This two-bedroom cabin (sleeps 4) features two decks, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private dock for one boat—ideal for couples or small families seeking peace, nature, and a touch of nostalgia. A public boat launch is less than ¼ mile away. Come experience the stillness, the beauty, and the history that make this place so special — our family’s lakeside legacy since 1947. We will do everything we can to make your visit a relaxing and pleasant one. We extend my family's home to you. Guest access Make yourself at home—enjoy two lakeside decks and peaceful surroundings. We often greet guests personally, and when timing doesn’t align, keypad entry makes self check-in simple and stress-free. Other things to note Our family cabins were re-built in 2019 in the footprints of the original 1920's cabins and campsites. My parents started leasing this special place in 1947, and it has been family owned and run continuously since then. This land is our family retreat and is truly loved. We welcome you to relax, unplug, and breathe in this sanctuary. It is our hope that you will love your stay and plan to return in the future. While you may find other Northwoods cabins, few offer the family history, craftsmanship of a local builder, and intentional design woven into every detail. Our family works together but runs two different businesses today. Johnnie’s Resort Bar & Cabins (run by my brother and sister-in-law) has operated non-stop since October 4, 1947. Take a short 200 ft stroll to enjoy a drink at the bar, pizza on the patio, and evenings around the bonfire. Piacenza’s on Wabikon was built in the footprints of our family’s original fishing cabins, carrying deep roots and family history. We’re grateful for your respect and care as you become part of its ongoing story.
