Red Sky has been professionally updated to offer a cozy yet sophisticated retreat. Thoughtfully curated with the modern-day vacationer in mind, the space blends contemporary comforts with Mid-Century Modern charm. Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped eat-in kitchen, perfect for everything from family feasts to evening cocktails. A Napoleon propane BBQ sits just outside the kitchen door for easy access. The home’s split-level design allows the kitchen to overlook a bright, open-concept living and dining area, with expansive picture windows offering uninterrupted views of the private lakefront—so you’ll never miss a moment. On cooler nights, cozy up by the large stone wood-burning fireplace while the kids enjoy movie night in the newly renovated lower-level TV room. The cottage features three bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed, and a sleek, modern 3-piece bathroom nearby. A second brand-new bathroom with a shower is located on the lower level. Additional amenities include a washer and dryer, dishwasher, board games, a 75” smart TV, Google Chromecast, DVDs, an HDMI cord, and a Bluetooth speaker. Step directly from the living space onto a sprawling 500 sq. ft. cedar deck—ideal for sunbathing, stargazing, or simply unwinding. The deck includes a cast iron dining table with a built-in propane fire pit, plus ample space for lounging or morning yoga with the provided gear. Just beyond the deck, a lakeside firepit sits next to the warm, shallow waters of Lake Huron. Guests are welcome to use the kayak, SUP board, water shoes, and adult-sized life jackets for lakeside adventures. At the foot of the property, a natural flat rock formation offers the perfect perch to dip your toes, sip a cocktail, and take in Lake Huron’s world-famous sunsets—photos simply don’t do them justice. Otherwise, please enjoy full access to all other amenities of the cottage. Other things to note IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION: Long weekends must be booked from Friday to Monday. -Guests must be 25 years or older to make a reservation. -On long weekends, all guests must be 25+, unless booking as a family with children. -Please ensure your guest count is accurate, as additional fees may apply per person, per night. -No pets allowed. GOOD TO KNOW: Water levels on Lake Huron can change throughout the season and vary from year to year. A cell phone booster has been installed to help improve reception during your stay. Please use only the provided hardwood in the indoor fireplace. Burning softwood can cause damage and increase the risk of fire due to creosote buildup. We’ve implemented enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols to help keep everyone safe and comfortable. GUEST DAMAGE POLICY: We kindly ask that all guests leave Red Sky in good condition at checkout. This is our family’s cottage, and we hope you’ll enjoy and care for it as if it were your own. To help ensure a smooth experience, we conduct photographed inspections before and after each stay. If anything is damaged during your visit, please report it to us right away. Prompt communication helps us resolve any issues quickly and can often prevent additional costs. In the rare event of guest-related damage, we may submit a claim through Airbnb’s Resolution Centre, where Airbnb will assist in mediating the process. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge and agree to Red Sky’s damage policy as outlined above. Our goal is always to resolve any concerns quickly, fairly, and respectfully.
