Seehaus at Lake James

Lake views and outdoor adventures included. The space “Seehaus” is a new custom home in “The Enclave at Lake James” private gated community. The contemporary architecture is a departure from traditional vacation cabins and provides a unique setting to experience Lake James and the surrounding mountains. The contemporary design continuous throughout the interior and displays European inspired custom features. The spacious lakefront house has two fully functional units, which can provide some separation or be combined to one if needed. The main level of the home has an open floor concept and features a modern kitchen, dining and living room area. The kitchen comes with a 10’ island, which is the centerpiece of many get togethers and a magnet to socialize at any time of the day. It provides seating for 4 to 6, which is complemented by a dining table which seats 8 comfortably. The two 3-seater sofas along with two armchairs surround the electric fireplace and 65” TV. A queen bedroom with a full bathroom and the laundry room with a washer and dryer complete the main level. 12’ sliding doors provide a seamless transition from the kitchen and living room to the spacious wrap around patio. Based on the season you can either launch in the covered or open section of the patio to enjoy the outdoors. The upper level has a loft overseeing the living room and lake with two working desks. The master bedroom has a king bed, bathroom with lake view shower and it’s own patio high above the lake. Across the hallway is another bedroom with a bunk and trundle bed which sleeps up to 4. The loft also has a queen sleeper sofa and full bathroom. The lower level apartment can either be accessed from the main floor or through a separate entrance from the back yard. It does have an open floor concept with full kitchen, island/kitchen table and living room. The two living room sofas can be converted to single beds to sleep 2 if additional space is needed. The bedroom has a queen and bunk bed to sleep 4. A washer and dryer is available as well. Both the living and bed room have stunning views of the lake and back yard. The patio mirrors the layout of the main floor and is partially covered. The level, grass back yard provides ample space to throw a football, play volleyball or to toss a corn sack. Going down to the lake you will pass the fire pit, cross a bridge and discover a secluded sitting area in the forest before you get to the private dock. The 12’ x 28’ floating dock is ideal to make full use of the lake. One fishing kayak and a separate swimming platform (12’ x 10’) which you can bring out on the lake is provided. The dock is facing south-west and it is the best place to observe the sunset. Other things to note Pets are welcome. We did add a pet fee of $50 (per stay) to the costs of the stay which is spread over daily costs. Please indicate whether you will be bringing your pet at the time of booking.
